The red flag glitch probably is the reusing bit of code from the qualify time generator (It works by taking the time by placing some random modifiers depending on the track expected lap time, player lap time (in the red flag glitch case, the overall race time) and the opponent driver stats). It's the same code that the AI magically makes a great lap after the player crosses the line
There is a 100% chance that this bug was picked up during QA. But they didn't fix it. They did this knowing they could just fix it later with all the other bugs, get the game out when they said they would and fix up the loose ends later.
What about the p22 driver name during the starting grid rundown. Its always the p20 name that you hear. Whether it's MyTeam, online or Breaking point. Any QA would have gotten this.

Especially since all the hyping that had been done surrounding red flags, it is the first bug you should log as QA. And it should be high priority to fix. I've been working in QA for over 10 years so I know all about client pressure or third party pressure but this should never have been accepted. EVEN IF it could not have been fixed before the deadline (which is weird because it should be fix after 1 patch) it should have been a feature that had been disabled before launch.
does this actually surprise anyone though? it's the same game with updated car models re-released year after year, eventually the code is going to start collapsing in on itself. it's not so much that one new thing broke the game, it's more that the game was always broken and red flags being reintroduced has added a new bug to contend with.
people keep buying the games, if say all the F1 youtubers agreed to boycott F1 2024, it could have a serious impact on their advertising and sales for that next game. None of them will though, boycotts never work.
@@doghat1619 as much as I like the idea of a boycott you just know the level of toxicity online would surpass Fukushima 15 minutes after the meltdown. boycotts do work when they're half decently organized, which is something the internet crowds have rarely been good at doing.
eh i mean yea some are realistic but teams getting Schumacher or Senna isn’t really realistic, so i guess icons need change, so like another category of drivers where you can get some drivers that are not F2 and official F1 drivers but still not icons

I feel like it should be limited to certain icons tho, like i don't think the older or "out of action" drivers lets say should be available for the AI If they could do something similar to F1 2019 where it injects Devon and Lukas into your career from the beginning i think that would be good
I'm pretty sure iv noticed another bug here as I think Devon Butler has your helmet. I have seen that if you have a teammate in your car for Grand Prix they just use your helmet and I believe that's the same here, hard to tell as I didn't get a good luck at Butler's helmet
In my opinion it looks like the game simulates to a 100% race because its 90min Race time, although you only drove a 35% race. Thats why you fall down the order because the game simulated the "remaining laps" to reach 100%.
Honest to God, the Red Flag glitch is the worst I've ever seen in an F1 Game. At least the F1 22 glitches had a bit of comedy about them; the Red Flag glitch quite literally ruins the experience for everyone involved.

Someone needs to make a mod to make harder AI. Or lower resource points to do something to make it harder for Ben as 110 AI isn't enough i like the series but Season 1 being able to get like P4 in constructors isnt massively fun. I watch to support the channel but slowly getting more boring

Petition to just restart the carreer and dont answer anything and put ai on 110 all the time.. i did too and play 109 AI on controller while playing 95 AI in f1 22.. i have 1 point in 12 races and finish p14 most of the time but IT IS the most enjoyable
Same red flag glitch happened to me in Monaco and I got demoted to p7 when i was in p2, and given a 5 second penalty for no reason and then I locked up💀
I think that if going into the last race of the season ben would be beating someone with what he wouldve scored with this win he should turn down the AI and just sail to victory
Just restart the race with short laps with lower difficulty just to get your deserved points back and then continu with the rest of the season. Smart people will not complain.
