Thank you for sharing. I have just purchased this thread from a recommendation from another You Tuber (So Carole) but I haven’t used it yet. I think I’ll go ahead and buy other colors now after watching you. Great information.

I love this thread, I ordered it from WAWAK, and it really stretches. I sewed a very stretchy Lycra knit and hemmed it with a plain straight stitch and there was plenty of stretch with no waving.

It’s a game changer for me Amanda, I did not like sewing using the zig zag stitch, I use it all the time now for my knits 😊

This was very useful. I have just bought my first lot of Maraflex thread but was a bit unsure how to use it (ie did it go on the top and bottom bobbin etc). I am just about to make the Marlo cardigan in a pale blue cable knit fabric, so will try out the Maraflex on that. Not only that but I have a much more complicated new sewing machine, so a lot to learn all round!!!! Love your ochre cardigan, neat as a pin. Thank you. Kate

I also keep my Maraflex thread and bobbin together so the bobbins don’t get mixed up with bobbins containing cotton. I use little plastic boxes, glad you found this useful, it’s a real game changer 😊

Just circling back to let you know I just topstitched the Hudson Pants waist band with the maraflex using a straight stitch and setting on 4 and there is no popping whatsoever! The pants look so much nicer with the top stitching and I know the elastic won't roll. It's official - I love this thread!

great video, really useful . Could you attach a jersey waistband to a pair of linen trousers using Maraflex..?

@@gopalakrishnanpremalatha7447 I would give it a test run using scrap jersey and waistband but I would of thought so.

Hi Margaret, Thank you, I forgot to add that it is easier to unpick a seam as well! I do not enjoy unpicking overlocked or zig zagged seams.

Thank you Adam, I love sewing with this thread, prefer the straight stiches to zig zag or overlocked.

Hey how awesome this sounds! I'll look to see if we can get it in NZ. I love the sound of using a straight stitch on knits, would make life a whole bunch easier. Thank you.

Hi Catherine, I hope you will be able to source the thread, it’s a game changer. I think other companies manufacture this type of thread such as Mettler with seraflock thread. If you can’t source the thread I would try Amazon. Xx

Thanks for the information on the thread, I always use Guttermann thread I think it is the best. I didn't know about this new thread though.

Hi Mary, I only learned about this thread recently when I visited my local craft shop Hollies Haberdashery and they told me that they had just received stock of it. I love sewing my knits with it, so much better than using zig zag stich xx

Do you wind this thread on the bobbin using the sewing machine as you would normal thread?

I searched for Maraflex in my area last week. I ended up needing to order a few spools online. I look forward to trying it on jersey hems. I love what you are wearing. Is the fabric Nuppu Print from Finland? Very pretty.
