It's admirable how much effort you put into your annotations, Im lazy so I only highlight pretty quotes and call it a day 😅😅 an enjoyable video as always
I annotate my books :D I love doing it and seeing how other people do it. It’s so cool to be able to see my thoughts and how things in books have impacted me
I have been having trouble reading lately! I haven't annotated books since I was in Middle School, and I am 20 now! When I clicked on this video, I wasn't sure what annotating was 😂 I am happy to click on this video. I struggle remembering a lot when I read books, which always throws me off. I feel like annotating might make me feel closer to the stories I read, and the author. Thank you! 🥰
Yes! I always feel kind of guilty when I wrote/highlighted on books. But annotation has long been in my mind, and I am going to annotate my books after watching your video:)
I used to love annotating books in school but a part of me would die everytime I marked a page. T_T I wanna start again but I know it will be the same anxiety over it.
Haha I feel you. I used to be really meticulous when it came to keeping my books clean and new looking, but I grew to really enjoy making the book feel more like mine through essentially defacing it ahha
When I annotate, I usually just underline quotes that stand out to me and maybe write a little "ow" to the side when the author writes something particularly painful lol
i too annotate my books a lot because my opinionated ass cannot just shut the f*ck up. great video btw! you definitely are one of the best booktubers out there!xx :) (Umm... youtube won't let me post this comment without censoring it???)

I hope you enjoy it! Yeah guilt is a big one but making the book your own can also be seen as extra special treatment of the book ahah

Hahaha I have a good few « ows » of my own when I annotate 😂
@@chapterbarbara8161 I had so many "ows" when it came to The Goldfinch
Great tips! I'm starting a physical reading journal because my digital notes are 💩
I’m glad you found some tips in here! Yeah digital notes get so messy so fast, it’s ridiculous 🥲

Yess! I sometimes get real catty with my annotations too lmao. And thank you so so much
I'm gonna start using "Mother tongue," instead of "First Language," from now on.
Ahah i think it’s the same tbh
