Congratulations on starting the diploma and libraries are the best, especially when you want to experiment with reading. I try to do that now and then just buy my favourites and it has slowed down purchasing unless there is a second hand book sale. We had one recently in our town and it was so good hardback 3 for $1 and paperbacks were 4 for $1 and I ended up walking away with 12 books. Most normal book sales I got to the book sales are $3 each so definately keep an eye out for sencond hand book sales. I also did my library degree in Australia and definately recommend working in libraries. Are you going to become a teacher librarian>

I think it's unlikely I'll go down the Teacher Librarian path purely because you have to do a Masters and I'm not sure I want to do even more study (or pay for another degree), but never say never 😁
@@karrinebeasley understandable especially as all the Masters for Information Management are online now to so when I did my Masters it was during COVID so it went from in person to online sadly. .
