I caught my first walleye there trying to catch some smallies near the bank. I was using a curly tail grub and also in my kayak. Thought I hooked in to one of the biggest smallies of my life but was quite surprised when I pulled it up and it was a walleye. Either way super stoked I caught my first walleye!!
Thanks for the tip on rigging. Nice day of catching.
Heck ya @StacySalmans!
UT BABY 🤙🏼
You got that right!
Nice to see some eyes out of DC
Agreed!
Great video man. Thanks for tips. Now I just need to get out there and try to catch one.

Awesome, great catch I'm sure. Curly tails catch anything that swims, not an understatement!
Can’t wait to get up there this spring!
Holy smokes! That was a slay day!! Nice going Austin!
Thanks Brother!
Good work just need to find some mass. I’ve been catching the dinks so far. That 16” was nice.
@@GillsNReelsFishing Agreed, a lot of dinks in there right now. Need a little culling out IMO.
Where were at on Deer Creek
Do you mind if I ask what part of deer creek? I haven’t been able to find them even with my fish finder
This trip was on the north end, but I've found them on all points throughout the res.
@@austinolsonoutdoors3039 appreciate it bro! Ended up catching 20 or so this weekend
