@NEETHU CS, the new version of Panoply don't have much difference from the older versions. Just open the NetCDF file, then click on the parameter you want to plot, then click on the create plot button on the top left. For example, you can choose the georeferenced colour contour plot from the following window. Then you will get the plot, this software is super user-friendly. Cheers!
You can download climate dataset CMIP 6 from here : esgf-node.llnl.gov/search/cmip6/ For more atmospheric datasets, I made a wizard on my blog. Please visit, krishnaap.blogspot.com/p/atmospheric-data-archive.html
Hello mr. Krishna, Is there a way to export combined data in Panoply to csv Excel? I have like 32 million values of u and v and Idk how to process them. Seems like Panoply can do it, but it doesn't offer me the export option to csv in combined data.
@Alejvm97 Yes, you can do that in Panoply. Open your dataset in Panoply. There you can see the data variable names. Right-click on that, then click "Export CSV". There you can save a particular variable into CSV. You have to see how it looks like before exporting by plotting the data first. Right-click on the variable, say "create small plot", draw the plot. There you will see two tabs on the right-top just below the menu. One will be a plot, and the other will be an array. If you click on the array tab you can see how your data will look like once it's exported. Of course, you won't be able to combine both into a single CSV file as it each variable represented by a 2-dimensional array in a CSV. You can export each variable into each CSV files using Panoply. Hope this will help you. If you like the video feel free to support me by subscribing and liking the video. Good luck
Sure. There are many sources available for downloading georeferenced 2D wind data. For example Era - Interim Reanalysis data ( apps.ecmwf.int/datasets/data/interim-full-daily/levtype=sfc/ ) . Thats is an easy example, you can download data in netcdf format. Data available from 1 January 1979 to 31 August 2019. Once you are familiar with it, you can check the upgraded version ERA 5 from the same website. Moreover, I have started a wizard type atmospheric data finding archive in my blog : krishnaap.blogspot.com/p/atmospheric-data-archive.html You will get data sources and data visualization tools from there.
@@urstrulyAlthaf Panoply cannot edit the values within the data. It can generally show you the publication-ready figures without any coding. If you want to edit the data, if that is scientifically/ethically correct you may use python/ncl.
I haven't tried in Mac OS yet, you can follow NCL installation instructions from www.ncl.ucar.edu/Download/conda.shtml conda activate ncl_stable conda update --all -c conda-forge ncl -V
