Nice coach, great horn on the F-end, but 3 ditch lights??? That's overkill. Funny how the horn on the R-end is exactly one octave higher than the Typhon horn on the F-end.
Thank you so much for this video. I built an O scale Brill M-250 doodlebug a few years ago, these things are RARE and now I've got to go see this one. Could you please post a bit of info about it? How does the engineer control it for reverse moves, yet keep the doors clear for passengers?
Who made that motorcar? My first guess would be Brill. Up where I live the local railroad has a narrow gauge gasoline electric Brill motorcar. You've probably heard of the East Broad Top.
When I was younger, I had a fear of doodlebugs, I think because they looked weird, sounded strange and looked "meancing". Looking back on it, it's really strange.
Beautifully composed shots.
great video 5*****
Beautiful horn sound. Like the E and also F units with their streamlined consists all over America. Yesterday memories.
I really would like to be riding this railcar. Thanks to scenes contained in this video I do so again and again.
horn sound AWESOME I LOVED IT
Hmmm. I LOVE doodlebugs. Maybe they'll do it in April, 2009. Wonder how to get there from Amtrak station.
love the Pennsy doodlebug and that Leslie A200!

The horn on the front is a Leslie A-200, the "GG-1 horn", and the horn on the back is a Leslie S-25 (yuck).
@lailasalas They sound good every once and a while. If these were all we had, railroading would be boring.
sounds like a gg-1 horn
