I would say go for it. I love the balance of the bike and have yet to find anything I don’t like about it yet. The paint job with the maroon carbon is amazing.
Thank you. The bike has been awesome. I’m still fine tuning the suspension but I am pretty sure I have that dialed in. The rock shocks have been awesome and the wireless shifting is great. Have nothing bad to say about it yet.
@@averageoutdoorjoe thanks. Wanted to get an idea of the prices. Trek dealer here is offering a brand new left over 2021 9.9 XTR version same color as yours for $4700. Going to buy it this weekend. Seems like a very good deal.
I picked up a 2022 Slash 9.8 XT for $3,000. It was used but very clean and taken care of. It was a good purchase at over half off. I will never ride it the way it was intended but for the price I could not pass it up. I am used to my Santa Cruz 5010 so going to a 29er is a bit of a change for me. I am still adjusting to the bike, but so far it has been good on the climbs.
I remember switching to 29’s and the biggest change was getting use to how huge the front wheel looked but I wouldn’t go back now after 4 years on them. Great buy on the bike!
Thanks for giving that bike justice, half of slash owners don’t give it it’s intended use. You mentioned you had a ransom before, would you say the slash is better everywhere on the trail?
The ransom with the twin loc was very versatile in the all mountain aspect of riding. With the suspension wide open the slash pedals better but if I was going to be climbing for miles the ransom was easier with a flick of a lever. The slash however on rough descents or large impacts the slash wins for me. The stability is amazing at staying planted in rock gardens and soaking up everything. Overall I won’t be going back to my ransom.
I haven’t heard any dates but it’s always sometime in the fall. It could be any day now or next month unfortunately. I doubt the slash gets any upgrades other than the new damper in the zeb so I would look for a 22 if you can find one.
one of the most beauitufl trails that i've seen. great riding and i am definitely interested in the Trek Slash as my next bike.

Nice bike. How much did it cost?
You don’t want to know! I picked the bike up for $4600 on a sale and the wheels and gx axs adds another $2000.

@@nadersedaghat5694 absolutely that’s a great deal. Nothing changed from 21 to 23 really. Same frame and rear shock.

Really pissed than i cant get 9.8 gx. Everything everyhwere is out of store. Any idea when 2023 mtb slash/fuel ex bikes are launched by Trek?

Brother ,which is the best, treak slash 9.8 gx 2021 Or treak slash 8 2023,i want buy next week
The frame from 21 to 23 is the same so the 21 should have better components. If it’s in really good shape that’s what I would do
