I’ve been at my hospital for a year and a half and they do packs so different compared to what I was taught. I do packs the way you guys do and when I was in assisting school we actually had to throw ours across the room to make sure they stayed closed and that’s how we passed lol
Fun fact: A great way to know if the pack is tight enough is to throw it against a wall! Looked a little gentle wrapping the pack but hard to tell on video! I got to admit that is genius to secure most of the instruments by sliding the spay hook through them
@@ffgrif uhm it’s a serious matter due to the fact that it’s for surgery and can kill and animal if even one fuzz gets in it so you should shut up because you obviously don’t care about the lives of animals if ur wrapping sterile surgery equipment the improper way….
@@alanabehappy Ok. You just showed that you're someone who cares about an animal's well being, (which is great!) but not a person knowledgeable in surgical procedures. Therefore, you should not be criticizing others unless you can show how it's done!
what about sterile towels to drape over the patient? My clinic keeps those in the pack as well on top of the instruments. and puts a hand towel for the doctor in between the two wrap layers. everything else was pretty much the same.
Hi! I'm studying a level 2 vet course at the moment, and I'm struggling to find any evidence to how reusable veterinary drapes are cleaned after usage. I'm aware of sterilisation through the autoclave once dry but is the cleaning process just machine wash and tumble dry before folding and sterilisation? and if it is, what about heavily soiled drapes? Thank you in advance if you can answer!
any blood gets sprayed with hydrogen peroxide and soaked in hot water with enzymatic cleaner and washing machine detergent before being put in the washer

@@alanabehappy And where is your video showing the "proper" way? Until you can put up, you should shut up!
