I moved to 30 in the mono blue Krennic just because sometimes unlucky card draw against aggro got me too close to 25, moving to 30 prevented that variance almost entirely. Good pod, guys! Can’t wait for set2!
I am definitely not in favor of a 3-month release schedule. First, it would hurt my wallet way too much. Second, I have a pretty packed schedule in general, and I feel like I would be missing promos/events during times of the year when I just can't get out and SWU. Third, I would love to try and play many different leaders and tinker decks, and that barely happens now. The only way I would support a 3-month release schedule is if the card counts were lower. Like 100 cards a set, or less(!). (As it is, I like to try to keep up with being knowledgeable about all the cards, and I'm worried that these 250+ card sets will become overwhelming.) The stores that I go to in NJ have not lost players; they've only increased. And the biggest problem has been supply shortages keeping the number of active players lower than what it could be.
Thanks for providing your perspective! That's a challenge in TCGs - every player has a different schedule and priorities, and every region has a playerbase that responds differently. All we can do is provide our own thoughts, but I trust FFG will make whatever decision down the line that best fits the most people.
Interesting episode guys! This question goes out to Jason. Did you get some extra stuff with your order to give out at the prerelease? E. G. Mats, deckpods, displays etc. From what I'm aware asmodee sent stuff like that for S1.
Hey! I'll verify the next time I'm in the shop, admittedly I haven't opened any of the product yet outside of knowing we have it. Our paperwork looks like we "should" have the goodies like the soft deck boxes, etc
I can tag on that we definitely got in the mini soft boxes like the Luke ones in set 1, but I haven't seen other goodies yet. I'm sure I'll know more next week as well.
