It's a pity that VoicePlay get less attention that PTX or Home Free who have so much support from recording companies, though I believe Home Free have now left. VoicePlay are equally good if not better and do it all themselves. That's why i supoort them, they deserve it. The most fun part of this, for me, was singing Walk LIke a Man to the moves of Single Ladies. Hilarious and so original.
This video was a gift from VP to their Patreon members for hitting a milestone, and took about six months to put together. Two fun things about this video:
We get to see the spouses. "You should see the size of his wallet" is delivered by Earl's husband, Nick. (He also has a cameo in Queen in Five Minutes.) He's talking to Ashley J., Cyndi S, and Kathy C. J.None wasn't married yet.
The guy delivering the sandwich is their dear friend Rek Dunn, to whom they dedicated the Halo Theme video after Rek died unexpectedly. Watch the outro to hear from Scott Porter a touching bit of VoicePlay (and 4:2:Five) history.
My favourite part of this is the fact that the choreo is basically re-creating either what the artist would have done live, or from the actual music video. (With the exception that the Frankie Valli was Beyoncé's "Single Ladies", which I think you missed 😉)
Also- Eli was singing in Korean for the BTS song.😮
Not just the choreography -- they recreated the costumes as well.
I did miss those little hints and language wow ! It was such a clever video 😊
I can’t believe no one else has commented. Could be they’re all over on Patreon, where Voiceplay dropped their next video. It’s a passion project for Layne and a medley that could only come from his imagination. It should be out in the next couple weeks, and I think you’ll love it. We all do!
