Your S Tiers were spot on and here’s why. WWE doesn’t always nail the “WrestleMania Feel” every year, it’s hard to explain, but a lot of us collectively know when we are witnessing or about to witness an all time Mania event that will be cornerstone editions for point of reference for decades to come.
Sometimes you just feel it months beforehand like WrestleMania 3, 17, 23, and 39
Others times you feel it right as it’s happening like WrestleMania 19, and 38
But the best WrestleMania EVENTS top to bottom (not matches, not stipulations) have always been because throughout these particular events you felt like WrestleMania was larger than life.

Wrestlemania 38 was a great show. The main event was underwhelming but you can put night 1 up there with any Wrestlemania ever. If the main event delivered, it would’ve been the best Wrestlemania in the last decade in my opinion.
Agreed. There were a lot of memorable moments between the two nights.

Interesting viewpoints. Obviously it’s all subjective, but always fascinating to hear how certain shows are viewed differently for a variety of reasons. Top Tier for me would be 17, 19 (which is my favourtie), 30 and 38. For some reason I am not a big fan of 23 so would put that way lower, although I appreciate the title matches were good I just didn’t like the whole vibe of the show and at the time was sick of John Cena winning, which I admit may cloud my judgement. I am biased but 28 would be a lot higher for me. It was the first Mania I attended so was very special, plus I do think people sleep on the hell in a cell match, the story and the drama told within the wrestling/facial expressions etc was masterful, as were the false finishes which at that time weren’t as overdone. Also, Rock/Cena had a year long build, certainly lived up to the hype. Punk v Jericho was also great but often gets forgotten about. Lower card wasn’t as good as other Manias but the main events all delivered on what was massive hype
I didn't really like the 28 cell match because I always felt Taker was winning and I was tired of the Taker/HBK/HHH matches at that point and wanted something fresh. Also, I felt like they really didn't do much with the cell structure and the match was more about HBK in the referee spot.
So pretty much by the criteria, wrestlermania had more run of the mill shows that excellent shows
I do think there were quite a few Wrestlemania shows that had a lot of hype but failed to deliver the goods.

But also especially with mania going two nights, u might have to rank or grade them on a curve because judging from the last three , night one usually was better than night two . Also if u really dissect all the shows , I could name 7 of the manias as being one match shows , not saying that the rest of the card wasn’t good but u would watch a specific wrestlemania for that one match

I agree with your tier list Mania's and Wrestlemania 23 John Cena best match ever in his career tho his match with HBK on Raw was better...

The world title matches at mania 23 was better than 22 n 21 but the rest of the card I don’t think comes close
This entire video was like WrestleMania 21 for me. Hit all the right notes until the very end. I can't see 38 and 39 as S-tier Manias on the level with the likes of 17 and 19. I do wonder if people would feel the same way 5-10 years from now - it feels like proximity bias to me.
Perhaps there is a bias because they are recent but there can also be a nostalgia bias for the older shows.
I think 38 was truly a great Mania and I’ve had a year to sit on it. The main event was a let down but other than that, it was amazing.
I think the only one I disagree with is mania 28 ..I would say B Or A tier IMO
Slandering 2000 isn’t a hot take lol. But idk 24 is S tier to me. Flawless card top to bottom. Even Batista’s which was filler was still a fun ride. No way it’s in the same tier as 25. 25 is garbage. 30 is garbage too. Take away the Bryan story it’s a horrible card.
25 is as high as it is only because of HBK/Taker. Bryan's story was a big chuck of 30 so that's why it's as high as it is.
