Totally right! The city is unrecognizable compared to when I was a kid. Growing up my gran used to get 2 dozen Xiao long bao for me everyday for breakfast hahaha, when ever we eat that in China it still brings back those memories

Haha yea they're pretty expensive. We had them in restaurants too but when you hand pick and buy them then cook at home it's hard to top 😉 Especially when it's a pro like Peter's aunt cooking them!
Hi dear Peter and yen watched this video at 2 30 am in the morning coz my body clock is still on N.Z time but looking at you eating those dumplings reminded me so much of the lunch we had together, a memory that i will never forget and once again i thank you both so much and i have not stopped singing your praises to all of my friends, also those river crabs looked so tasty. I would say that crab is one of my favourite sea food dishes and i can remember when i was in Cambodia i had some amazing soft shell crabs which must rank as one of the best meals i have ever had. Just want to say that during my recent trip in your country i just adored those steak and cheese pies Haha hence the increased waistline Haha.i am already saving up for my return in 2020.but i hope you both have a wonderful Christmas with your charming family and friends and i am looking forward to all your new videos in the upcoming new year Take care both of you and good luck too From barry

😁 when my parents left the monthly wage in Shanghai was around $100nz for the whole month. Considering they've done very well in New Zealand too I think it all worked out ok. But I do wonder sometimes what it would have been like if they stayed. Btw thanks for watching our retirement video too 😁✌

Haha yea they're pretty expensive. We had them in restaurants too but when you hand pick and buy them then cook at home it's hard to top 😉 Especially when it's a pro like Peter's aunt cooking them!

Hi dear Peter and yen watched this video at 2 30 am in the morning coz my body clock is still on N.Z time but looking at you eating those dumplings reminded me so much of the lunch we had together, a memory that i will never forget and once again i thank you both so much and i have not stopped singing your praises to all of my friends, also those river crabs looked so tasty. I would say that crab is one of my favourite sea food dishes and i can remember when i was in Cambodia i had some amazing soft shell crabs which must rank as one of the best meals i have ever had. Just want to say that during my recent trip in your country i just adored those steak and cheese pies Haha hence the increased waistline Haha.i am already saving up for my return in 2020.but i hope you both have a wonderful Christmas with your charming family and friends and i am looking forward to all your new videos in the upcoming new year

For me it's the xiao long bao coz I love soup and dumplings and there combine the two into one incredible taste explosion lol 😋

😁 when my parents left the monthly wage in Shanghai was around $100nz for the whole month. Considering they've done very well in New Zealand too I think it all worked out ok. But I do wonder sometimes what it would have been like if they stayed. Btw thanks for watching our retirement video too 😁✌
