Here at Bob's Market we use a pack planter robot from TTA to transplant pansies. This fall we will transplant over 100,000 flats! Visit Us At: bobsmarket.com/
They're working on it. The goal is to be 100% human-free by the end of next year. A lot of people think our jobs are going overseas but those pale in comparison to the jobs lost from computers, robots, and machines. It's time to tweak our economic model to incorporate all of our new automation.
I really hate growing these things...too much trouble...worth every penny u pay if u have to have em...which i really dont...tho next year i will expand what i have about 10 fold...then i quit...no more pansy..maybe some johnny jump ups...but they are just as bad.
This is just one step in the process. Our growers in the greenhouse are very hands on. The machine helps limit transplant shock so we actually get healthier plants as a result.
Whoa, this is so cool! I like that the machine makes a little squeak when picking up the pansies. :)
Where is my 10 hours video of this machine? I can watch it all day long.
Kuddos Feher Get back to work human!

Absolutely amazing machine! You guys have a wonderful production going on down there!
Woah. Automation porn.
idk if the sqeaking was tiny cries of joy or terror from the plants
If no one turn off my computer, I'll die watching this video.
amasing
Why can't you automate adding the labels?
Real Name One would think that, it should be easier to automate.

Real Name Because the humans need to feel wanted.
All that automation and they need people to put the plastic tabby thing in the dirt?
They're probably also doing visual inspections.
DFKnightmare I was thinking the exact same thing lol.
As a passionate Luddite I wholeheartedly disapprove!
But why use people to put the tags in?
They're probably are doing quality checks as well.
