This was a hype as hell scene in Last Spectre. The idea of a boss fight in a puzzle game seems odd, but Layton pulled it off perfectly.
Amen to that. I'm replaying the prequel trilogy and just got here. I love the touch that this kept playing during the puzzles. It's so awesome when games do that. This whole battle, from start to finish, was AMAZING. Loosha trying her hardest to protect the people she loves from Descole, the Black Ravens assembling to help Layton get the things he needed for the catapult ... it really gave you the feeling that Misthallery was worth saving because its people love it so much. While I love the endings of Miracle Mask and Azran Legacy because of the emotional punch in the teeth they bring, neither of them has quite the badassery of The Last Specter's finale.
Agreed so much. And I love how the final battle theme kept on playing when you were doing the puzzles (unlike Unwound Future which just played a remix of the regular puzzle theme). It really gave me the "RPG Boss battle" vibe despite just being solving puzzles hahaha.
@@NeoArashi Yes! It really gives you a feel for how high the stakes are. Especially when you realize later where the Golden Garden was and why Loosha was so focused on protecting it.

@@sybiliminalSyntax sorry I meant to tell commenter below since that person wants to know where the song plays in the games
I like to study with this in the background. Makes me feel so much smarter!
Why is this so good?!

One thing for sure...
Level 5 ended the Layton DS games on a high note with a final boss battle in a puzzle game!
That was pretty cool.
This is cool especially when doing the wire puzzle for half an hour
Descole's Mech uses Puzzle. It's not very effective.
It hurt itself in its confusion!
"Professor, why are you waiting for the machine to finish performing its attack anywa-"
"Remember Luke, a true gentleman always waits for his turn in a final boss battle."
Loosha used Tackle!
*It's super effective*
yay third comment on dis video. I need to say something. Oh yeah: This is one of the best themes I heard for a battle :D (even when Professor Layton isn't an aggressive game)
0:36 is the part where i feel hella epic
When I put this on I was about to start driving and was like "one soundtrack for 20 minutes? That's my whole drive. I'll probably change it after a few minutes"
I was not expecting to have it go through the whole 20 minutes but I'm pleasantly surprised 🙌
Catchy. So catchy.
Goal: defeat the boss
i got here because of ToNED JToH
