- We will show you how to make Gyoza Wrapper (餃子の皮).
Gyoza Warpper is a thin and round (pasta-like) flour skin that can hold meat and vegetables to make Gyoza dumplings. Homemade Gyoza skins are quite different from store-bought ones. They are thicker, chewier, heartier, and still delicious.

OMG I needed this, thank you!
I like so much this recipe
Thanks for making this ive been wanting to try making gyoza since i saw someone make it o on a show but most recipes i find say to use store bought and none of my local shops sell them
This is very different from the recipe I followed tonight 😆 mine were so thick 😂 I will try this way next time!
👏👏
Can we use whole wheat flour?
Question: would it make big difference if I use cold water instead?
Whats the amount of potato/corn starch
you didnt mention the potato starch amount on the recipe in your website, may i know the ratio of the flour:starch:water ?
No
I mean by looking at the video, it's like.. maybe 1 to 3 ratio. 1 starch for 3 wheat flour
Thanks for sharing this recipe. But I use pasta maker
米粉でも作れますか?
👍
can the dough discs be frozen for later use?
Yes!
Would it hold up if using gluten free flour or will they just fall apart?
Hmm... we have never tried this gluten free.
for making gluten free gyōza i often see rice flour recomended
The recipe on the website does not mention the katakuriko amount needed
You dont need the exact amount since both video and recipe shows that starch is only used for dusting the wrappers, you dont put it in flour
Thanks so much...I hv a fetishism for this...😊
This hurt my wrists to knead. Too little water
more water means it doesnt turn out right 😂 if kneading hurts your hands, i suggest getting a kitchen aid ❤ it can help you knead!
