I'd do the autosave off strat but I like the challenge plus it prevents me from having to save manually every time I make progress or if I accidentally forget to save.
@@VortexKiller2 I never thought about that, you're right. His save rules make zero sense, he should simply leave autosave on then.
I’m not going to save my in front of my shinies. Proceeds to not use stealth spray, smoke bombs, food, or literally any of the new mechanics introduced in this game.

the first psyduck I found was a shiny. now he appears blue in my pokedex and I think that's the funniest thing. Loved the video!

That search for paras was very reminiscent of my first full odds of Legends Arceus, I was going to an outbreak and heard the shiny sparkle way before I was anywhere near it so I started panicking looking for what did it, could hardly tell the shiny on the paras as it was night time in game, glad he's aggressive so he found and attacked me lol
The shiny hunting is way more rewarding here. Without even trying I've already gotten Gardevoir, Roserade, Golem, Zoroark, Arcanine, and the free Rapidash
All before the shiny charm and most not even from outbreaks.
I can somewhat understand not wanting to save before shinies, but if you are unsure what shiny is around, a good trick is to save and load back into the game so that the sparkles reset.
Also full odds means that you don't have the dex entry complete in any way; having the dex entry at research level 10 adds an additional roll
Respect to you for not using the "shiny panic save". i am the same way, if i dont catch it then it just wasnt for me. Everyone else just loves the guarenteed shiny with saves lmao
Fun fact: self destruct/explosion doesn't 100% kill in legends. It only does A LOT of recoil. It would take two self destructs/explosions to self kill.

Mad respect on the no saving for shinies. Makes it very exciting! I personally save, but I know your shiny fail pain. Had a shiny drifblim self destruct itself in a space time rift today. Nothing you can do except laugh at that point 😂

Hey reversal explosion doesn’t work if ur using a ghost type! So if u run into another shiny that can self destruct or explosion lead with a ghost type. Love the videos
Explosion also isn’t in this game, and self-destruct does recoil but doesn’t kill the user in one move anymore, they can self-destruct multiple times before dying

It got me ticked off that you didn’t use an Ultra Ball on Happiny and for some reason you went ahead and used a heavy ball, smart move 🙄
how the heck do you catch the flying pokemon like togetic? do you just throw balls until you hit it? throw your pokemon at it? I threw feather balls at megnezone and it hit, but it just made a bonk sound and didn't do anything
Explosion works differently in this game it doesn’t self ko you it just does like recoil damage
I failed a shiny starly as well, I saved in front of it but it despawned due to it being night time, no matter how many balls I threw at it nor what pokemon I sent out it didn't work
Quick Tip
The Gigatonballs ONLY have a good Catch rate when the Pokémon isn't Expecting you. As soon as they Notice u just throw Ultra Balls. The Gigatonball is essentialy Useless once they Notice U
Gigaton still has the same base catch rate as an ultra ball though. otherwise they wouldn't have added leaden/gigaton balls at all. They just have a sizable increase in catch rate for unawares pokemon on top of the ultra ball catch rate

I respect the fact that you do not save before interacting with the shiny. If I played the main series games I would do the same.
Saving doesn't always work when it comes to outbreaks anyways. I did one for Zorura. A shiny popped up alright... In a rock. I couldn't catch it. Saved and turned off hoping that when I restarted that it would spawn out of the rock..... I lost the shiny and the outbreak.
How the hell are people failing shiny pokemon in a game where you can save BEFORE you catch it?

I was leveling up exp on alpha chansey after 50 times I know I was overdoing it it was shiny thing is I’ve never been able to catch alphas despite my lack of trying so I saved before encountering threw one great ball immediately went in caught it I was so happy chansey is a fav of mine

Me, finding this video 2 years later, and screaming that YOU CAN JUST THROW A FREAKING FEATHER BALL FROM A DISTANCE TO CATCH SHIT, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BATTLE EVERYTHING TO CATCH IT 😱😱😱 I'm also just a lazy hunter who will avoid battling whenever possible though LOL. Def one of my favorite things about Legends Arcues! I can just catch them without having to battle and there's no trainers sprinkled everywhere to slow me down! It's great!
I have the game for like 10 days and I found one shiny buizel in the first 10 minutes and then about 5 days I didn’t get anything...after that I get shiny(krikerute,bronzong,buneury,shinx,yanma,basculin male,scyther
i think not saving is odd but tbh i never understood shiny hunting in the first place lol every shiny i gotten is just random luck but when i do find a shiny i'll save just because i dont feel like losing trade fodder

Were you purposely farming outbreaks? Did you get the shiny charm to raise your odds? If you have a 10 in your dex or a perfect dex this also raises your odds. These are the things shiny hunters do, you can do them too to raise your odds. Just casually playing through the game won't necessarily get you any shinies except for the guaranteed shiny ponyta.
@@Sophie2570 i know but random full odds don’t apply to this :) I hunted for 3 other shinies so far :) but only got 1 random

@@TheCharlieCharles He just got the shiny charm last night on stream and all of these shinies were before the shiny charm. However, I don't know if he had lvl 10 research or not for some of these before the encounter. Either way though, most of these were at least a 1/2400 chance to 1/4800 chance. Whatever the odds are
