Holy shit! I remember when this was released via Bandcamp I really loved it. When they did the official release through streaming services and shit for some reason they KILLED the songs with the final mix :( the drums sound WAY better on this mix than the final one. Holy shit... I hadn't listened to these versions in a long time and had forgotten how much I liked these better.
I honestly like the newer mixes better. They just sound bigger and less demo-y, and you can actually hear the bass, which has been a real issue for me since kezia. they've been better about it with their last few releases tho
This song stands out in the Pacific mythologies. The mixing in this is something special. Maybe somebody can explain away the magic for a blind layman like myself.
Just one or two, I'll have to wait and see. I wish the vinyl record came with a download code :( Will pass it on to you if I get it. The Tidal and Cold Water ones are on Ultimate Guitar!

rody's vocals on this one are so perfect

All the instruments are pretty incredible. The drums and lead guitar especially play beautifully off of each other.
I come back for the guitar solo frequently. To me that whole bridge part is pure joy and an example of how music can give examples of what could be.
This has turned in to a top 10 song all time for me. Rody is epic, the guitar work and rhythm is indescribable, and the incessant double bass... yes.
I agree. I think it's my favorite off the EP. They're incredible.
Timothy Young Still missing Arif tho
So few understand the greatness...
Well said...
Exactly this. I hated PTH the first few times I heard them but I’m so glad they grabbed me. Severely underrated.
