Today I Installed the CR1616 Battery on my Casio DBC 62 and I reset by finding the AC for a fresh Battery Installation it works flawlessly 100% running good in 2022
When the new battery went in the light came on permanently. The video mentions (about halfway) the watch reset process. The reset fixed everything. Thanks!
Batteries arrived this morning, did everything but got a blank screen. Got a piece of soldier to reset from the CA to + battery top, and all is back up and running! Many thanks for your great video!👍😊
DBC-610. 5 comments: 1) When I inserted the battery, the light came on without pressing any buttons. I'm not sure why, none of the buttons were contacting. I put the white plastic piece on top, which seems to do nothing, but it might have done something? Anyway, I put the new battery back in after cleaning, etc., and the light did not come on. 2) The battery was out quite a while, and I did not lose my phone #s and date/time notifications. 3) The old battery lasted 5.5 years according to my records? I never use the light. The new batteries I bought 5.5 years ago were at 3.0 volts. The old battery was at 2.93 volts. This battery is not going to make it 5.5 years. 4) Anyway, great video, thanks! 5) The battery you showed was correct, unlike the battery # that amazon showed me.
Great video! Just a tip for the DBC-611 (3228 module), you can remove the top battery terminal using a pin between the two sides of the north-west connection point
Exactly what I needed to see, for my silver 610, still the best watch ever made, does everything. Very nicely explained and presented, thankyou very very much! best wishes from Alan, in Norfolk.
Great video. The only thing is that petroleum jelly (Vaseline) will degrade the rubber gasket. It'll make it gummy. You should rub a little silicone lubricant on it or other rubber safe conditioner. Great watch. I'm looking for one myself. They're hard to find in good condition at an affordable price.
ZendMend, at the 2 min 35 sec. of your video a mini spring shows up at the bottom of the screen. I had a problem with this spring which fell out of its hole on its own without me noticing it. You showed the locatiom of the two mini springs, but I did not see anything about the one smaller than the other two. Where does this third spring really belong? How important is it to have it in its place? Thanks in advance for your reply.
@@zengarage1 I just bought mine yesterday and trying to look about the watch then accidentally start comparing between the DBC 610 and 611. They look pretty much the same but the features in it is quite significant, first one about the battery reminder, then I saw an 'OPEN' sign also when the case back opened (in other videos), and the last one of course about the schedule table on the screen. My personal opinion is DBC 610 is better than the 611. Glad that I accidentally bought the 610, because at the beginning I just want to get that particular model of databanks watch between the 610 and 611. Great video by the way, really simple and straight forward. Thank you!
Hi, there's no real reason for it to stop. I couldn't say without looking at the watch. Check the wires from the bulb to the circuit board with an eye glass. Sorry I can't be of more help.
Bojan Bojovic yes the gold does wear off. It's actually a metal case and strap that's gold plated. It's lasted well enough considering I've worn it everyday for 7 years!
@@devpanch1 Thanks. Metal case? Maybe 610 is original so it is metal, but 611 should be plastic. I just ordered 611, it would be nice if the case is metal, but I doubt.
well i opened it up, took off the battery clip thing, and then the thing was spring loaded shot off across my room and apparently took that spring with it, well fml now i cant find the spring
Excellent Video! I just found my old Casio watch and just replaced the battery thanks to your help!

Just as well for my DBC-61... I suffered a lot because it's screws are a bit smaller, but all in all, it worked like a charm!

Thanks for the tip on how to reset the watch (5:50), I almost gave up hope with my DB31 🙂
You’re most welcome. I’m glad I could help.
The Casio DBC 611 is the same as the Casio DBC 62 on a CR1616 Battery Installation this video helps to install the battery

Hi Danny, thanks for the comment. You're right, silicone grease is the better choice. I'll pin your comment so others can find it helpful.
정상적인 시계를 버릴뻔했다...
감사합니다
🤣🤣🤣
Straightforward and clear! Thanks!
Thanks For the post
Superb, clear video. Thank you!

Petroleum disintegrates rubber seals. Best to use a silicone grease.
Thanks. Noted. Another viewer corrected me too.
Is that a low battery notification on the screen? Damn thats cool. I dont think it shows in any other casio's? or rarely have one I think...
Yep, it is indeed and I know how cool. I think it was on ‘BATT’ for nearly a year before I changed the battery!

Hi mate ive got a databank wave ceptor, how hard to fix light bulb not work.
Any video about DBC 3000 Casio Databank 300 battery changing?
Do you know how to fix the light? Mine doesn’t work after I changed the battery.

Out of curiosity, can you replace the existing light with a stronger bulb?@zengarage1
Спасибо большое. Thanks a lot.
that helped me alot. thank you :)
After you replace a new battery in this watch, would all the data bank information be erased or will it still be loaded?
AmbientRanger great question, I believe if you replace the battery in less than a few minutes it’ll keep the data, but haven’t confirmed this.
Did you get an answer for this...? Will the data be erased?
You have to replace the battery within 5 minutes.💥
Does this gold paint wears off that plastic watch case, and the bracelet?

Hi, when I press the light(shift) button the screen goes blank and the light doesn’t work. Do you know what could be the issue?
Have you replaced the battery? Sounds like the battery is low.
@@devpanch1 yeah that fixed it. Thanks for the reply
Why aren’t there any numbers on your keypad? If no numbers then how do you know what you’re calculating
HOW TO RESET 06:09
Good. Video
Help me, after replacement battery, say OPEN on the screen and buttons don’t work 😢
Hi, did you try resetting it by connecting the AC with the top of the battery positive?
Hello! Do you know if that's the same procedure to replace the battery on a Casio DBC-62? Thanks in advance.
Hi Octavio, I should thinks it’s very similar. Go for, if you need any help, drop me a message.
You beauty.
well i opened it up, took off the battery clip thing, and then the thing was spring loaded shot off across my room and apparently took that spring with it, well fml now i cant find the spring
oh and i thought this would get rid of the BATT text coming up but i guess not
Mines a dcb w151
Does the data get erased in the process?
I believe you have a few minutes to install the new battery, to maintain the data.
Quite clean?! Oh gosh.
Calculator functions stopped working after I replaced the battery😢
How old ?
Weird, the internals of my watch look entirely different
Can u tell me the lug width?
Hi Jay Mayhem is it the strap width your after to know what size pin to use. If so it's 22mm.
@@zengarage1 yes, and thank you so much!
You have only 5 minutes to swap the batteries to preserve data.
Thanks for this information.
@@zengarage1 you're welcome.
