I remembered Swamiji's lectures on "Freedom from Sadness" at Chennai. Thanks for posting.
You can never be what you are aware of. Grasp this point firmly and completely. This is enlightenment. Swami Ramananda.
Like the actor playing the part of a beggar, the beggar is the actor, while the actor is not the beggar. B equals A while A does not equal B. Do not mistake this as dissociation. The body/mind/sense complex is, indeed, you, consciousness, while consciousness stands alone, independent of the body/mind/sense complex. There is only consciousness, plus (without really being plus) an appearance.
Superb exposition of the formless, limitless, non Being of Brahman.
Being, Consciousness, Limitless= Brahman. Being can also be thought of as Existence. Consciousness IS.
Brahman is not sunya (nothing). Brahman is everything.
Jorge thanks very much for posting these videos - thanks again - swami Dayananda is the kind of teacher i seek.

"space is not there then awareness is. so space is dependent on awareness." - I didn't understand this part. My confusion is we can similarly say that "awareness is not there then space is. so awareness is dependent on space" isn't it ? someone help me understand this plz.
phoenix revised, In order to understand "awareness-space" and "awareness-time", we have to first distinguish the "Self" (atma / aham / "I") from the "non-Self" (unatma / idam / "THIS" . The former is the "subject/knower" and the latter the "object/known". In this subject-object dyad, the subject is always unchangeable and invariable, where as the objects are changeable and variable, because the whole world is always in a continuous state of flux. You see your body, your thoughts, your memories, your knowledge and your ignorance too, which means they are the objects of knowledge (known), you being the knower. In all these perceptions, you are the only "invariable principle". Once you sublate all these objects, you remain as PURE AWARENESS, and NOT as "being aware of this or that or any particular object".
Space is the interval between two (physical) objects, just as time is the interval between two events. In the absence of "objects" and "events", there is no concept of "space" nor of "time"! But, even in the absence of objects and events, "awareness" is very much there. Once the objects are removed from perception, the INVARIABLE PURE AWARENESS alone remains encompassing the whole of the "objectless space"! In spiritual terminology, it is called as DE-OBJECTIFIED COGNITION. Thus, space which contains various objects is, in turn, contained in, and dependent upon, PURE AWARENESS and not the other way round. In fact, we experience this every day in the state of deep sleep in which, there is neither any object, nor space nor time. For fear of expatiation, I have presented this in a condensed form. All STUDY and all SAADHANA is/are geared to reach that Supreme State, not merely understanding it at the intellectual level, but as a ground reality!
phoenix revised, To put it in a nutshell: There is no World beyond the MIND; and There is no such thing as Experience, beyond the MIND. It is the emptying of the mind of all Thoughts, Feelings, Emotions, Memory, Imagination, Desires and Vaasanaas, that is critical to spiritual progress!!
Ji Can you please elaborate your question?
9:18. I am not sure if space is dependent upon awareness. Because if you see some place in this universe 1Bn light-years away from earth. I am not aware about any stars and their nature there, but definitely that area has space... I am bit confused now about what swamiji is saying.
+phoenix revised, You KNOW that you know; and you also KNOW that you do not know. Thus, both the objects KNOWN (viditham) and the objects UNKNOWN (aviditham) are within the range of awareness, the former as things known and the latter as things unknown. In other words, both knowlege and ignorance are within the range of PURE AWARENESS.
@@emrao7732 Great reply!! 🙏🙏
@@vikramc08 Thank you! My reply is from Kenopanishad!!
Can somebody give the source of the story of the conversation between the sage and his wife. I want to quote it somewhere.
Please go through the 10 major upanishads, i.e., Isa, Katha, Kena, Mundaka, Maandukya, Aithareya, Taittiriya, Chandogya, Brihadaaranyaka and Prasna. Of those, particularly, Kena, Brihadaaranyaka and Prasna!!
Brihadaaranyaka Upanishad, the wife is Maitreyi
This man doesn't need protection--unless it be from wannabe censors.
