  • Before starting my full-time job, I decided to embark on a journey to Iceland with 3 other guys. What ensued was a whole lot of no sleep and a ton of fun.

    The comment about paying money to visit somewhere freezing is too relatable! I visited Iceland last year from California. Beautiful place -- but too damn cold! Anyway, I just picked up a a6500 and your vids are inspiring. Hope to make some cool videos myself soon. Thanks!

    Any chance you would share your slog settings ? I can't get my slog settings right. It's always super graining before color grading.

      Generally your shadows in slog are going to be grainy in some manner. That’s the whole point, so you can get more dynamic range! What you’re supposed to do is just crush them down in post, so they look more natural. Otherwise, if you’re filming in dark settings, you shouldn’t be using slog because it can make the shadows look way too grainy.
