Exactly 10+ yrs ago, I mentioned that if I had ever come across a large amount of money, I'd search till the end of the Earth for 1 of these: a '69 Mercury Marquis drop top; I got laughed at, but here's one...no cap!!

This is EXACTLY the car I had in high school when graduated, 1979. Even the same color! (But this has been repainted, because this blue is a darker blue than the original paint which was very light blue, and also, all the nice black double pin-striping all the way around is missing from this car.) The only difference, mine had the original wheels and hubcaps on it, and was pristine. This one could be fixed up. I’d almost like to buy this for nostalgia sake. Not to mention it will burn the tire 200 feet on dry pavement, just by stomping on it. 👍👍

I have a triple black convertible. Daily driver in decent condition and very presentable. I am getting ready to sell. It will come with an additional almost complete parts car with running motor and trans. I bought the parts car for the grill, because it was cheaper than buying the grill. LOL! Car is located in Southern California.

Where's Lisa & Oliver Douglas with a car like that, tooling around into Hooterville or Pixley to get some stuff from Sam Drucker, & maybe pick someone up from the Cannonball, then back to the farm to make sure Eb is busy working, but nonetheless still a beautiful full size car, that & the Marauder X100 are my favorite Mercury's

It's an interesting car, "faults" and all. A mechanically astute owner should be able to fix those issues and enjoy it.
