    I completely understand why Anna would be in Gryffindor but I think she would fit better in Huflepuff. All of her actions in the film are driven by her kind heart and loyalty. She even got engaged to a man she jst met and then left her whole kingdom in his hands! She is far too trusting and wildly loyal.
    Aurora is an obvious Hufflepuff because...
    She is kind to everyone, she is shown to be nice to the fairies, her animal friends and prince Philip.
    She is very loyal and honest especially to Fauna, Flora, and Merryweather. She usually obeys their rules respectfully, even though she may disagree with them. Look at the scene when she meets Philip, she was naturally startled and apprehensive since she was raised not to talk to strangers and then compromised in agreeing to talk to him by arranging to meet him at her cottage, under the supervision of the fairies. She then tells the fairies about her meeting instead of keeping it a secret.
    Also, she's actually quite selfless and strong-willed. When Aurora finds out about her real background as a princess and realizes that she can't see Phillip anymore, she, although deeply upset, shows firmness and loyalty to those that she cares about. Aurora agrees to push her feelings away and do what is right. Hufflepuffs are known to do what is right.
    Tiana is a Hufflepuff to me because she is hardworking and that is the thing, she values the most. Yes, she is ambitious but so are Hufflepuffs. She doesn't cut corners to get what she wants and isn't cunning at all. Tiana works hard to get her dream and is unafraid of toil. Hard work is all she believes in. She is also true and honest in her attempt to get her dream. Tiana doesn’t give the talisman to Facilier, even though it would be easier. Tiana is uncorrupted in her business and is just. Tiana is also loyal to her father in her determination to get his and her dream. She is also patient to put in the work of one day owning her restaurant.
    I think Elsa is a Ravenclaw. In other source materials she is shown be an intellect and diligent, especially in Frozen: A Sister More Like Me “I’d have loved to have a friend who knew geometry…” “I considered it my job to do what needed to be done…” Between the two sisters, Elsa is portrayed as being smarter, cautious, more mature, and rational compared to Anna. She appears calm, reserved, regal, graceful and poised at her coronation despite being anxious on the inside. She is creative, as shown when she creates things with her ice magic. She was curious about the voice/Fifth Spirit and wanted to learn about the origin of her powers as well as learn about the past. Ravenclaws are known for being on the introverted side, because they like time to reflect on their own thoughts and they sometimes prefer to be alone or with small groups rather than large crowds. This perfectly describes the Snow Queen.
    Hufflepuff could work too since she is loyal, hard-working, and kind. When given a chance to rest and relent, Elsa's true, warm, kind, fun-loving, and innocently mischievous personality are shown. She has a generous disposition that contributes to her compassion towards her people. Elsa's actions are driven by the desire to protect her kingdom, and more intimately, Anna. Once over her fear, she works hard at mastering and controlling her powers. Hard work and loyalty are key to Elsa, and that makes her a Hufflepuff in my eyes.
    Ariel is a Gryffindor. The only reason she went to Ursula and signed the contract was because she was because she was mad at her father. This to me is an impulsive and reckless move. She acted before thinking and that is a Gryffindor trait. She is brave and is a total rebel who doesn’t obey the rules. She is also very passionate especially for the human world and has a short temper like her father.
    Basically, she is brave to the point of recklessness, going so far as to put herself in physical danger when making a deal with Ursula, who she knows is not to be trusted. Has a general disregard for rules which is seen by her defying her father by going to the surface and saving Eric. She is fiery and can be short tempered as well as stubborn.

      Mulan never intended to show anything to Men, she wanted to her father, who was already too Ill and old,, to Go to War qnd die. And tô try to bring some honor to her family, accirding to chineses ancient rules just couldn't bê in the army and the Man who refuses to Go to wsr his famíly would be seen as cowards and deshonored people, whatsapp cy, for that time, was a horríble punishment, Mulan went Rothe army so she could sabe her father and bring some honor, she receiving the title of Heroine of China was a consequence she was not expecting, actually, she was expecting a Very hard punishment for her attitude and when ALL the people in the Forbbidden City bowed to her you can see in her face she was surprised what had turns out.
      Mulan is a kind and loving woman seeing How she treats her famíly, esoecially her father. Hás a great sense of Justice by trying to Tell the Imperial Officers that her father was no more in conddition tô fight, she also resoect the rule, she never showed she despised the rules established to her and the women, she just did what she did to save her father and not let her famíly be known as cowards, Mulan is also hardworking seeing How hard she trained to match uo with the other soldiers and to fight against the huns. She who was an ordinary girl took the courage to replace her father secretly without anyone discovering her identity. Mulan is shown as brave and during the whole movie, she is proving herself that as she faces the unknown not for herself, but for the sake of her family and the people of China

      Mulan could as well be sorted in Hufflepuff (she joins the army only so her dad won't be killed in the first place) and Ravenclaw (defeating the enemy through wits instead of brute force, which is arguably also a Slytherin trait). While Mulan does have self-evident Gryffindor traits, she lacks the recklessness that would make the difference and unambiguously place her in Gryffindor territory.

    Jasmine to me is the most Slytherin DIsney Princess that exists. Wanting to change the societal view of women is ambitious. But what was most telling was the scene where she was seducing Jafar in a red dress. I think a Gryffindor in that moment would have distracted Jafar by making loud noises like yelling and rattling chains. The fact that she chose to seemingly conform to Jafar's wishes sealed her deal as Slytherin.
    Tiana is ambitious but the way she went about to achieving her goal was through hard work. Hufflepuff suits her more than Slytherin.
    Anna is also a Hufflepuff because her biggest motivation was her loyalty to her sister. Elsa's not a born leader, that's why she (spoilers I guess) steps down at the end of the second movie.
    Mulan. See, I think she is a severely misunderstood character. There have been many instances where people have said that she proved that women could fight just as well as men, and while she technically did, that was more of an accident. The real reason she enlisted as a soldier was because she saw it was wrong that her injured father had to go fight again in his age and condition. In my opinion, this makes her less of a Slytherin and more of a Gryffindor.

      What actually makes Jasmine more Gryffindor than Slytherin is that it was all for a noble cause like Harry Potter himself, particularly when he freed Dobby. Jasmine's motives stemmed from standing up for what's right. She values courage over ambition.

That is something a Slytherin would do. She charmed herself into getting it her way (Max and the Vikings) That is something a Slytherin could do. Like many others, I can’t see Mulan anywhere other than Gryffindor. Bear in mind, not all great leaders come from Slytherin, just all people in Slytherin seek a path to become leaders: there’s a difference. First, when she joined the army it wasn’t out of ambition, whether to lead or otherwise. There was no path to greatness for a woman there at the time. A Slytherin would have used cleverness to marry her way to a position of power. Instead Mulan did it for the noble reason of saving her father’s life. And she never deliberately sought to become a leader of the men to gain power; instead she lead by inspiring others through her example. Those are Gryffindor attributes, beyond a shadow of a doubt.

    • @gullinvarg
      @gullinvarg Год назад +3

      I'd argue Slytherins seek power and influence but not always leadership. Look at Horace Slughorn. He loved being associated with his Slug Club alumni and getting perks from them, but he wasn't interested in being a leader per SE.

    • @alyssapeterson2004
      @alyssapeterson2004 Год назад +3

      While it is true that those in Slytherin house are very ambitious, ambition can take many forms. Slytherins are fiercely loyal to their own friends and family. Many would sacrifice anything to keep their loved ones safe, albeit this loyalty does not necessarily extend to people a Slytherin does not know. For example, Narcissa Malfoy was willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING: her status, her marriage, her life, and Voldemort's protection to protect her son, Draco. Narcissa is the reason Voldemort thought Harry Potter was dead. She LIED to protect her family.
      You're confusing the definitions between status and ambition. Ambition is defined as a desire to achieve a goal typically requiring hard work. I can understand why Mulan was sorted into Slytherin in this video, because she showed a lot of Slytherin traits.
      1. She was willing to cheat on her matchmaking exam to find a husband.
      2. She used her dog to complete the chores she forgot to finish to prevent her father from noticing it.
      3. She lied to the entire military and country and impersonated a man
      4. She is SUPER sassy... awkward... but sassy
      I agree Mulan shows bravery and could be a candidate for Gryffindor, but she shows more Ravenclaw and Slytherin traits.

    • @whizz_0711
      @whizz_0711 Год назад

      True and Slytherin usually has a “self preservation” mindset and so I think she would be best fit in griffindore since her decision would make her enemy to both sides, this is courageous and also puts her at high risk (plus she also wants the glory for her family)

    • @alyssapeterson2004
      @alyssapeterson2004 Год назад +2

      @@whizz_0711 The self preservation isn't how you're interpreting it. It's more... Slytherins don't fight needless/pointless battles. They usually look out for themselves first, but there is a loyalty within the house. However, the loyalty is influenced by their relationship to the other person. It's hard to explain to people who don't have the mindset.
      And Mulan did not go to war for glory. The movie eludes to a very patriarchal timeline. Mulan would have brought shame to her family or been executed under normal circumstances. She wouldn't have been able to claim her heroic acts either. She was an exception to the rule, no the example. That was the reason she had to masquerade as a man. Even on the mountain she questions if she actually left for her father or if she left to prove she could do something right.

    • @shawnnahewett4870
      @shawnnahewett4870 Год назад +2

      I see alot of comments saying Mulan should have been in Gryffindor because she was brave and courageous. This is true.
      BUT.
      Slytherins use cunning to get what they WANT, whatever that is. And Mulan wanted to save her father's life.
      She was cunning enough to study and mimick the men's behavior despite being taught how to be feminine all her life.
      She was determined enough to pass the physical training, despite being taught how to be a delicate flower in order to catch a husband.
      Yes, anybody from any Hogwarts house can be a leader, but being cunning and calculated enough to form a plan and avoid detection is a Slytherin move.
      Kind of like Snape being a double-agent for Dumbledore.
      She didn't just come charging into battle with the intention of being a hero. She just wanted what she wanted (her dad's safety) and she made that happen.
      IMO, I think Slytherin would be the right house for her.

All she wanted was to prevent her father from walking straight into his death, and risked her life doing so (not only risking being struck by the enemy, but also by being exposed as a female getting capital punishment as a result). A bit controversial but I think Belle is a Gryffindor.
    Reasons:
    The books she reads are all about adventure and far off places and fairytales. The song she sings is literally about adventure and how she wants more in her life. Then she also stands up for herself against an intimidating beast and took her father's place which was kind of reckless. I think a ravenclaw would have left, developed a plan and came back. I see your points except that Belle is different from Hermione. They're both brave and smart but Hermione is more logical, relies on her thinking and is a rule follower. Belle is the opposite, she's a daydreamer, a rule breaker, unconventional, follows her heart and whimsical. While Hermione loves reading books about facts and knowledge, Belle only reads fictional books, like fantasy, adventure and romance. Not all bookworms are the same. Hermione is in Gryffindor because she values bravery and friendship but lacks creativity, something that Belle clearly has since she's proven to be creative in the Disney books. while Belle could be in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor because of her intelligence, wisdom and creativity, bravery, and thirst of knowledge and adventure.

She does everything to get her way, even if it hurts people. She is cunning as she sees the loophole in the rule that the oldest of any clan can shoot for her hand and in the end she is loyal to her own clan and family which is another trait of Slytherin. Bella is a gryffindor for sure. She likes to read a lot but she is extremely brave, when it came to finding her father and putting herself in the place of the beast's prisoner she didn't even think twice, and the stories that most captivated her were about adventures and she herself says that in film itself, gryffindor is the essence of her.

    I honestly think Ariel would have been either a ravenclaw or a slytherin, she collects lost things and wants to know more about the other world. Constantly looking for answers and learning new things. At the same time, shes ambitious enough to make a deal with ursula and get the prince to fall in love with her. I think shes definitely ravenclaw and slytherin material

    Am I the only one that could see Jasmine as a Slytherin? She is certainly ambitious and very determined to achieve her goal. I agree she is brave but most of her bravery and recklessness are because she doesn't agree with the system and wants to change it(which is her ambition, sort of) and she is a good leader. I also feel she doesn't waste and opportunities and is even cunning when she wants to be.

  • @zyswanson7865
    @zyswanson7865 Год назад +31

    You got Ariel completely wrong here, she's a Ravenclaw through and through. Curiosity in nature and determination are the core characteristics of a Ravenclaw!! Loyalty and caring are the two traits of Hufflepuff. She left her family for a guy she doesn't know because she's curious about the land world, and would often be focused on her goals more than relationships! Does that sound like a Hufflepuff to you? No, That sounds like a Ravenclaw and a bit of a Slytherin!

  • @girlpower_gacha
    @girlpower_gacha Год назад +3

    I don’t think Elsa belongs in slitherin because she is in NO way ambitious. In all the frozen movies and shorts every thing Elsa had done was for the safety of others. She is also no a born leader because she literally gives up the throne in the sequel to her movie, she also is not competitive or charming at all. She only puts aggression towards people she wants to keep safe or is trying to hurt her. None of which are slitherin traits. She also would probably not want slitherin due to how many people would fear and hate her if she was there, and that would probably be a reason for the sorting hat to not put her in slitherin. She is self preserved and determined, but most houses like hufflepuff and ravenclaw also can have those traits. I think Elsa could fit in any of the houses though

  • @28starwarsfan
    @28starwarsfan 3 года назад +14

    This is the second video I've seen trying to state that Elsa is a born leader. Even saying it in a way like it's obvious. I'm beginning to think people don't know what a leader is. Nothing in either Frozen films make me (or the rest of my family listening) a natural born leader aside from bloodline.

    • @DruidOneTrickDnD
      @DruidOneTrickDnD 2 года назад +8

      Agreed lol. In the movies it seems like she actually spends all her time trying to run away from leadership! From abandoning her entire Kingdom after a freakout in the first movie to abandoning them again in the 2nd movie to spend the rest of her life as the 5th spirit - Elsa just wants to do Elsa, really lol.

    I'd say Anna is more of a Hufflepuff, she's loyal to her sister and hard working

  • @SkywardAngel
    @SkywardAngel Год назад +3

    I have to disagree with Anna. I think she would have been a hufflepuff. Her loyalty to her sister is what makes her take the risks that she does. She doesn’t take risks just because she can.
    I also disagree with Aurora. I’ll admit she’s a hard one because she gets so little screen time, but I don’t see the love of knowledge in her that is REQUIRED in a Ravenclaw. I think she would also have been a hufflepuff. This is because during her movie, she placed her loyalty to her guardians above even her own wants when she accepted the fact that she would never be allowed to see Philip again because she was an engaged princess.
    I have one more that I disagree with: Ariel. Ariel would DEFINITELY be a griffindor. She’s a natural risk taker, who has the courage to leave everything she knows and loves behind to explore the unknown. She does this even knowing that she could never come back to what she knows. That is the heart of a griffindor.
    Everyone is saying that Mulan should have been a griffindor, but I actually agree with you that she would be a slytherin. Her ambition is to hold her family together and make her family proud. She had just been told that she couldn’t do it the traditional way, so she achieved both her goals by keeping her father from sacrificing himself AND by taking his place, she had a chance to make her family stronger through her wartime deeds.

    Aurora is a hufflepuff. He mentioned that she was kind, which is a hufflepuff trait, not ravenclaw.
    Tiana is a hufflepuff as well. She is hardworking, which is a major trait.
    Ariel is easily a slytherin. Choosing her own aspirations over others (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).
    Also, who said slytherins are great leaders? Voldemort was the leader of the Death Eaters, and he didn't really care about his followers. Plus, aren't slytherins too ambitious to be leaders (not always), but slytherins may put themselves first, rather than those around them.
    Mulan isn't a slytherin. She is a Gryffindor. Ran away without really thinking about. Rushed into battle. Saved the whole of China! How are those major slytherin traits?
    No hate, just thought I would share my opinions (tho it probs came out as very aggressive)

    What traits are they trying to assign when they want to lie about anyone? If I have to couple two houses for myself than it's like I am looking at Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. It's like I have to combine two houses for myself when I need the hybrid house for my protection. There are people who cannot see their current actions and then you have people who cannot see their results so people can be smart when they try to focus on the idea that seems to win other people over. I don't know how random people are capable of being but if there is a before action to judge than there is a history to rate and I cannot do anything about what happens next when anything about another person is out of control.

    Honestly I think almost all of the Princesses on this list would fit Gryffindor. Belle choose to go after her father and even take his place as the Beast's prisoner then stood up to the town to try and defend the beast and even dove headfirst into danger while the castle was being attacked to get to the Beast. Rapunzel choose to defy her "mother" and go see the lanterns, wasn't afraid to defend herself when Flynn showed up, and was even willing to spend her life as a prisoner to Gothal to save Flynn. Mulan choose to break the law and impersonate a soldier even though she knew it meant death if she was caught, was someone who inspired the rest of the men to step up like you said but that could also be seen as a Gryffindor trait, and faced off against one of the most dangerous criminals in China without hesitation. Ariel was constantly disobeying her father, showed to fear in making a deal with the Sea Witch, and dove right into action to try and fix things when she found out Ursula was cheating her and even attacked her head on when she transformed her father
    Elsa I feel is more Hufflepuff. She shut herself off from the world out of fear and just obeyed her parent's about concealing her powers until the incident, then turned and ran away. A Slytherin would have used their power to standout and possibly force people to obey them or at least manipulate them. The big issue though is a Slytherin wouldn't conceal them shelf if they had power
