what would help is if people used them till they actually died. Replace the battery once or twice. No reason you can't get 3-5 years out of these things maybe more

If that's how they produce phone, they should make customers giving away or charity the phone back to producers to be recycle and reproduce into the advanced one, so the resources will not exploited dry and they can save money from mining costs. It's not about money they can survive, it's the natural resources they can live.
