Was fortunate enough to have visited the Grotto of Lombrives this summer. It is a very special place and l found it difficult to leave the 'Cathedral' such were the feelings present there, it was almost as though l could feel the living presence of the past. The Ariege valley and river elicite a sense of aliveness l've seldom experienced elsewhere, as though the spirit of the Cathars is ever present in the woods & streams & ther very air.
