Of course, it's not bad or out of place feeling anger or wanting revenge but his culture says otherwise. It's like in the Last Samurai film where he is both Katsumoto and the widow of the red samurai killed by Tom Cruise. If you ever need proof, listen to his view of the Raiden Shogun. He "got over it" or doesn't hate her when she delivered the killing blow but he dislikes the vision hunt decree. He would hate someone or you, if they interfered with Tomo's execution and would commit seppuku to restore their honor. Of course this is too much for MHY with the CCP behind them but not showing it would be ridiculing the old culture of Japan and even if we think it's some twisted morality/honor in today's standards.
Im pretty sure his theme song is made to represent the two conflicting sides of his personality, the song consists of a mix of tradicional japanese music and a modern pop song, the tradicional japanese music represents his love for inazuma (japan) and for its traditions and the modern song is ment to represent his revolucionary side where even though he respects inazuman traditions he questions the authority of the shogun, one of the founding beliefs of the nation.
