Operation Kraken

Operation Kraken is the significant AFP investigation that infiltrated and dismantled a global Dedicated Encrypted Communication Platform called Ghost.
Ghost was used by serious organised crime groups in Australia and around the world to plan high-risk, high-reward criminal activities including ordering killings and organising violent crimes including kidnapping and extortion, traffick and manufacture illicit drugs, money laundering and weapon imports.
The AFP developed a covert solution to infiltrate the platform, read the messages, gather evidence and stop criminal activity.
