I discovered this series two hours ago and I’m obsessed with it now. I used to love walking dead but got bored of it in the later seasons. This felt like watching the old show again. Also, it’s a real treat to see someone’s skill level grow from novice to professional throughout an entertaining series. Guess I have to be one of the regular fans now and patiently await the next episode haha There’s so much to appreciate though, im definitely going to go back and rewatch them all.
I can tell so much dedication, hard work, and thought went into making this. I love that you gave so much of your time to make this masterpiece for us. You're improving so much, keep it up.
This was a hell of an episode, Vidar! Great job. As far as the blender few, definitely a beautiful addition though I would say keep it to a minimum as your animation skills are powerful. Do what ever you feel like doing and don't stop being creative. It's awesome.
wow the difference between episode one season one and the last episode of season 2 is insane how he went from just clay and stop motion to fucking CGI and badass, really smooth effects. love the series, just absolutely love it!!!

Wonderful episode! Loved the tension and the effects. The shotgun reloading was a nice touch. Not a huge fan of the CG faces, personally I would stick with just mouth animation, but it’s your choice. :) I would also try to conceal some of that tack 🤢 keep up the good work!

I always loved animating but have slowly drifted away from it. I’m not sure what it is with me. But you’ve always been my motivation. Man I’d love to take classes from you if I knew you in person. I’d pay for lessons to get to this level. I really do miss animating. There’s nothing like uploading one you’ve worked so hard on. I just can never find time too do it between animating, working full time, school. I wanted to continue my zombie story I made with clay for your competition in like 2019 but I never have the motivation. :-((((((

Holy shit that was good the lighting the animation set design everything I was one of those people who were split on the blender thing but seeing it fully it's honestly not that bad the blender face expression 3:51 could definitely use a bit more work and his floating in water to and the wire on the flash light should of been cropped out but besides those scenes it was an amazing episode of the deadlocks can't wait to see the next episode
Stop motion and VFX blend quite well from time to time but sometimes they don't work that well together. Like in the scene where the character swims to the surface. Animating mouth movement and eye blinking makes the characters more lively. But in my opinion, replacing the whole head with VFX just doesn't work. Shaky cam effect is a bit too exaggerated. It's an advantage in action scenes but a bit steadier cam would be a nice balance, especially in scenes that have less action. Also some dialogue sounds like they were recorded in a medium size echoing room and wasn't fixed properly in post. A bit clonky dialogue in script but that's alright.

You've got one of the most creative and unique stop motion styles on youtube I don't understand why you have to ruin it by adding cheap out of place blender animation that doesn't follow the rules of lego and goofy looking over sized mouths interpolated into each other
