Bro you’re so good at this. I love when you stumble on a word and you just redo the line, it’s so much more realistic to how actual reading is. Plus the subtle voices and inflections you do are perfect for each character, and most of all, you sounds exactly how I always imagined Percy would sound

This is probably the best Percy Jackson audio book I’ve heard. Most of the others I found like the free one on Spotify and a few other independent creators don’t pronounce the names right, give characters bizarre accents, or just have poor quality. This one is solid through and through. Definitely gonna finish the rest of these on this channel!

It was always weird that annabeth still had feelings for Luke even after all the crap he’s done, but a girl talks to Percy and suddenly she’s jealous and she’s mad at him. Like wtf?

I dont think so, you have to remember that when Annabeth first met Luke she was basically garunteed to die without his and Talia's help, then for years she and Luke lived practically next door where she watched him grow up just like her and became a leader and someone she admired. By the time the series starts, she's what, 12 or 13? Almost half of her life and definitely most of what she can remember at this point Luke has been a huge part of it. Its also not like she doesn't understand his frustrations, she gets how unfair it all is and agrees the Gods should be more caring towards their children, she simply cant bring herself to agree with Luke's methods. So, just like Luke is with her, shes desperate to get her oldest and closest friend back on her side because to her young teenage brain she cant imagine that Luke, someone she looked up to and care about, is too far gone for her to save. Much like how through the series Luke is constantly trying to get Annabeth to agree with him and side with him, Annabeth is the same. Due to the circumstances they found themselves in as kids, they both can't imagine fighting the other and are desperate for them to relent and join them. Personally I always felt like the Annabeth/Luke storyline was a lot like the storyline Naruto and Sasuke go through throughout Naruto but more on Naruto's side. He cant give up on Sasuke because he knows there's good in him and even if Sasuke does evil, dreadful shit, Naruto knows its because he's been so hurt and left behind. He never believed Sasuke was evil, just like Annabeth never really thought Luke was evil, he had just severely lost his way and Annabeth is desperate to bring him back

You can have family members so you grow up with your entire life and plenty of people in this universe have family who they don’t irrationally defend them. If I grow up with a brother or sister for 20 years, and he turns out a murderer who tries to kill me and my friends and literally my entire world and way of life, you think I’d defend them for 3-4 years even after he’s killed some off my friends? No. You never even addressed the double standard that was a focus point of my compliant, she gets irrationally mad at Percy for even talking to a girl. She’s been doing the same to him since he arrived in camp fawning over Luke and defending him even after he’s killed some of their friends or attempted to kill them personally. It just doesn’t make sense and it boils down to people making excuses for her, because nothing justifies defending a murderer just because you spent a few years with them and cared for them.
finally finished this and just had to say how good this and the past books have been before the final battle/book! your efforts to give vocal character to each character are really good, it feels like you've really captured them. keep up the great work, hopefully i can support you even more in the future !!

Some of the voices he does for certain characters fits that character so well I forget that it’s one person reading

Tyson has no parents no home to speak of. And the ability to hear that Percy is getting preferential treatment is kinda harsh.
