Actually the officiating wasn't too bad; I've seen a lot worse. It was a very "in your face game" and Arkansas had a vendetta against UCONN. UCONN will adjust fire for next game . . . they are still maturing.

dungee is a horrible player, all she does is push off every single play. those refs are blind af. she literally threw muhl across the floor at 1:00:37, and she does it every play. she's going to suffer in the wnba when the players are bigger and stronger and the ref's won't let her get away with it.
This should be looked over by the ncaa. Those extra two points would have been critical down the stretch. Yeah they lost by three but both teams game plans would have been completely different in the final 2 minutes if the score was two points closer. I looked to see if they missed an Arkansas basket or something and didn’t see one so it could have just been the scorekeepers error.

Still a little too much UCONN standing around on offense after the ball was brought up and one or two passes. Also, Arkansas really sagged off UCONN big gals at the perimeter, almost daring them to shoot a 3 or long 2. UCONN is weak in this area and needs to step that up too. No surprise that UCONN had no answer for Dungee in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters. I don't think anyone in the league could have stayed with her. UCONN needs more top tier games like this one to show where they have weaknesses. Playing weaker teams is like practice with little practical value.

Uconn hasn't been able to defend the other team's top scorer at all this season. They just don't have the foot speed it seems.

If UConn played Arkansas tomorrow, on a neutral court, with Big 10 refs, they win by 20. A March Madness rematch would be wonderful. But UConn will be in the Final Four and Ark. will not. Ark will never again this season match their great performance in this game. UConn will never again this season play as poorly as they did last night.

Newsflash, UCONN recruiting from 2016 to 2019 has sucked. When was the last time a player not from the big 5 (Baylor, Stanford, Louisville, ND, SC) was (by far) the best player on the court against UCONN?

As for the skill of today's players, there is a reason why the US national/Olympic team is dominated by players from 15-20 years ago. Today's players suck and any basketball fan that watches an old final 4 game from 10-20 years ago can clearly see that. The game is far slower, less athletic, and less skilled. This is why Gabby Williams, a converted track athlete at 5'11", could play center for UCONN in 2017 on a team that went 36-1...lol
@@msp5138 nice try, I was born in 81. The only point I'm making is that the level of play is different. Taurasi, Cooper, Bird, Catchings, are at the top because they put in work and trained at a higher level than their peers. Taurasi and Bird in college never faced talent like with Isolation one on one skills like Chennedy Carter, Kesley Mitchell, Rhyne Howard, Arike, Breanna Stewart, Chelsea Gray, etc who could damn near single-handedly led a team to a win. Since you brought the Olympic Team, Carter dropped 30 plus on them with ease and I watch them lose to Oregon. I'm open to criticism, please send me a link to a game where they faced that type of talent back then. I'm a huge Uconn fan but I can't pretend like Courtney Williams (USF ) did not dominate every time she faced UConn, imagine if she had one other player with similar talent. Do you really think that Uconn team with (Taursi, Bird,Cash,Jones,Williams) could beat the recent Notre Dame (Arike,Mabrey,Young,Turner,Sheppard)? I don't think either team would dominate but it would be a toss up because the talent levels are different. I'm just making the point that I never witnessed a Uconn team face the the talent of someone like Breanna Stewart with a supportive cast. If so, send me a link to a game and I'll gladly watch. Please don't send a Tennessee game.
