I'm in zone 3b. Garlic goes in around late September/October (right before the snow comes down.) I'm usually putting my garlic in the ground with a 7/14 day forecast predicting "persistent" snow. (We will get thaws in November, but frosts and sleet for sure.) 👍
I had some green peas (Wanda I think) that were quite old. I tried directly sowing them a couple of times with no good results. This year I soaked them in water overnight and planted them and they are all coming up. I also planted some in milk jugs (winter sowing) in the garden in January along with other cole crops. I live in 5b.
Yea! I planted the garlic at the right time last year. The year before I messed up. Only got one big clove from each planting. Lol. I’m ready for the potato video. I didn’t have luck with them last year. Turmeric was another waste for me. And the zucchini got the vine bore bug. I’m not a very good gardener. 😬. Maybe I should only do walking onions and determinate tomatoes. (1st year with walking onions)
@@Growyourheirlooms . I’ve never tried one. Just learned about them last year so I ordered some. I was pretty disappointed with my garden and I thought I needed something that would grow. Lol. Both the garlic and the onions are coming up. 👏. I’ll be watching for the potato video.

How long does the barn last
Do you need to empty your cans or just add more composted soil?
I just top them off with more compost
@@Growyourheirlooms Thank you!

I love the walking onions except they aren't sweet. They are a true strong onion but easiest to grow and leave in the ground
