I love how he just uses instrumental music and nothing electronic. His music sounds more like jazz and blues than hip hop. I think that makes him stand out from the millions of rappers working today.

I agree you don't seem to have a good idea of how many different styles and production techniques there are in hip hop but I'm so happy for you that you found Loyle, this can be your start to discover so many more good hip hop artists who put a lot of hard/heart work into their craft, with organic instruments AND with synthesized electric sounds!
