      If you're ever in Wichita, KS, check out the Sedgwick County Zoo, it's an AZA-accredited wildlife park. They're huge on conservation programs (over 3,000 animals and nearly 400 different species), you can even watch the vets/techs provide care; like cleaning their teeth, cleaning their exhibits/enclosures (which are quite spacious), feeding time, etc. My favorite place in Wichita. After seeing the difference between AZA zoos and normal zoos, I'll only visit AZA ones. Be pretty cool to see these vivariums in person.

    This is amazing stuff. I do think they should have put proper benches and seating in there to let you relax by watching both the displays and the animals. Rushing through a great animal room like this is just a bit lackluster. I'd love to just sit and watch for 20-30 minutes or so before moving on. ^>^

    How did you integraded the Air-pots in the build. Did you use planters for them because when you dig them in, they kind of lose their purpose. On the other hand the tend to dry out faster. Do you use a wig and a water-reservior or something like that. I use them too for my houseplants and want to integrate them in my upcoming terrarium.

    When my Ball Python turns one year old, I am building her a vivarium! Absolutely stunning work, our pets deserve this type of space.

    • @erikm8372
      @erikm8372 Год назад

      It is nice in theory, but some people may say it’s not necessary for ball pythons to have such lush, intense surroundings, or even a lot of space. If anything, I’d say a 50-60 gallon aquarium is adequately large for them. In some cases, we’ve heard that ball pythons get stressed or scared from too much open space, because they associate it with not being able to hide. Being exposed = risk of attack by predators, like eagles, owls, large birds, baboons, mongoose, various wild cats, hyenas, etc. They definitely do better in small setups (or racks even) compared to other snakes, in my opinion. But there are always lots of options!

    • @PlatinNr1
      @PlatinNr1 Год назад

      @@erikm8372 if they would get scared from too much open space like nature where they usually live like every other animal they wouldnt exist obviously. so this claim makes zero sence.

    They don’t seem to know that chameleons are pretty antisocial, unless they’re actively breeding… and that female Jackson’s chameleon is looking very dark brown, almost black, which is a sign she’s not interested. Like.. at all. Lol. Then the male is promptly all over her… hopefully they separated them.

    Wonderful. What artistry and design genius in each of your creations. Couldn't be more realistic.
    If I may add one small suggestion, just a little time spent on giving the branch and tree ends a more natural weathered look would take away the man-made saw cut look and join the overall natural beauty of your exhibitions. Karl
