Don't know if I missed it but it's good to note that Eclipsed Soul's healing scales off max health unlike soul split so the healing will go harder as we add more armour/buffs that increases max hp.
So benefits from higher max HP and isn't tied to your damage dealt, feels a lot like this is probably going to be worth using even with necro for anyone trying to use the t90 rank armor for extra safety, with the damage boost would make up for the loss of dps from not using power armor and not having spit soul, but for people mostly looking for low effort boss kills could be an option. Not good for Rasial and maybe vorkath though because the zealots requirement conflicts with the need for salve amulet. but I know there are already a few methods that don't use salve amulet for vorkath on youtube so might still be goof there.
They called me a fool when i said zealots was coming back, but look at it now! Great video. I'm happy to see people using the normal prayer book again. Magic is lookin clean.
Interesting. It's worth noting that devs say future bosses will have very high defence like Nakatra to foster hit chance considerations. So it's unlikely this will be used for future content
not really a problem when you can just slap on a off style hammer and spec or have a team mate who leeches with necro and lord of bones....can even d scim spec if melee specificly.
I find most useful about this is that it can be just enough to sustain with a slayer task. I will definitely be using normal prayers during slayer tasks + zealot's necklace. I also use this for ranged since I'm not very good at prayer flicking so I don't bring ECB at bosses like HM Vorkath. Wen arrows helps remove the accuracy problem. If you want to kill Nomad and have some healing, this works. But I also found some problems with zealot necklace and Rigour swapping when swapping EoFs. With how quick prayers work, if you try to swap them in the middle of the fight, it will disable any existing protection prayers which I found very annoying. I ended up setting a protection prayer by default on top of it. With how limited quick prayers are, this is just very annoying to constantly edit. What if a boss has more than one protection prayers you need to use, that's even more annoying. Overall, I think it's a viable option if you're skilled enough to do it. But for the more casual side or those that despise flicking, curses will be better. You also lose out on deflect damage from deflect curses.

(taken from wiki) To single-stat boosting standard prayers and to Leech Curses, the amulet increases the accuracy and defence gained from them by 10%, and raises their damage boost by a flat 10%. To demonstrate, if a player gained +100 accuracy, +100 defence, and a +6% damage boost from such prayers, the amulet of zealots would raise those values to +110 accuracy, +110 defence, and a +16% damage boost. Given the nature of these bonuses, with Leech Curses a damage boost of up to 18% can be gained, while standard prayers paired with Divine Rage can achieve a damage boost of up to 21%. Both of these damage bonuses significantly exceed even Malevolence, Desolation, Affliction and Ruination at 12%; however, the accuracy and defence gained under the amulet is poor (and the boosts take time to strengthen if using Leech Curses). Using the amulet also sacrifices the necklace slot and carries a high penalty to prayer drain. The amulet is most viable where the player has 100% accuracy/damage potential and is not concerned with the high prayer drain. With the standard prayer book, single-stat strength-boosting prayers can be used in conjunction with Divine Rage, increasing the damage boost from 16% to 21%, making them even more potent than Leech Curses.
(taken from wiki)Divine Rage is a prayer that requires level 85 Strength, Ranged, Magic, Necromancy, and Prayer to use. It is unlocked by reading a Divine Rage prayer codex. The prayer increases the user's Melee, Ranged, Magic, and Necromancy damage by 5%. Unlike most other damage-boosting prayers, Divine Rage can be used simultaneously with damage-boosting prayers that benefit the same style. For example, Divine Rage can be used with Piety.

This is a nice Change, the regular I haven't used the regular prayer book since curses came out. I wish Jagex would rework how the "Luck" mechanic works in game, as it stand we they are used for less than 1 second on boss kills. I personally would trade off accuracy, defense and power, if wearing more luck items helped me get those drops I'm really after, this would decreased the "Grind" for certain items. For example is use any Tier of Luck for the entire fight maybe I get a tiny boost to the drop rate as opposed to only using it for 1 second after the fight. In a sense this could make it more challenging and rewarding to take on certain bosses. They don't have to drastically increase it but having over 1k boss kills on multiple time consuming bosses without getting the item you are after is just absolutely brutal.. I don't have to explain the grind to you, (your ambassador grind) but gearing up takes too much time and some of us just don't have the time, back in 06 when I started I had all the time in the world, now I'm lucky to be able to log in for more than 2-3 hours a week.
the accuracy loss from normal prayers kinda sucks, especially seeing as mage doesn't really have too many options to lowering defence of bosses except g-staff. another thing is, I don't want to have to re-do my action bar prayers if I switch from ranged or necro to mage or melee. I feel like there needs to be some quality of life changes there before I start actually using it.
you can allways bring your trusty hammer to spec. even tho you sacrifice some adren and possibly delay your rotation its not the biggest problem...and it will always hit now so works with mage also.
It's not in all cases. Accuracy determines damage also. It's strictly because the Amulet of Zealots AND Divine Rage. The free Salve amulet is BiS against the undead.
if you did see the video you see that this is niche and that 2 of the 4combat styles losses out on overall dps. alot of places you lose both sustain and hit chance=damage so its not worth to use it everywhere.
Jagex need to realise that buffing ranged/melee/magic will do nothing to foster an increased adoption from most players. The reality is, necromancy is so much DPS and safety for a casual amount of inputs that learning a different style that takes a PHD in ability bar mashing and switch scape to use effectively just doesn’t seem worth it for 99% of pvmers. Whilst I know the 1% of top tier pvmers will cry, the original three styles need a massive overhaul to make them in line with necromancy so that the majority of players don’t leave when necromancy becomes boring (already happening)
If you buff them enough you can get necro levels of dps without the phd or switches. You would need ALLOT of buffs… but regardless it would make casuals switch :D Those buffs would make the switch scape, full manuals players absolutely broken though.

Necro is practically brain dead for me other than staying on top of my stacks. I don't have to explain the grind to you, (your ambassador grind) but gearing up takes too much time and some of us just don't have the time, back in 06 when I started I had all the time in the world, now I'm lucky to be able to log in for more than 2-3 hours a week.

So, you'rê têlling mê... normal prayêrs go BRRRR? 🤔
I read "Normal Players" and felt attacked for a second...
U ignored me when I saw u farming blood of orcus during porter event 😭😭😭
he probly has 50+ ppl saying stuff to him dailie...maybe he has public off or was just afking....i would turn public off at times myself tbh.
the accuracy loss from normal prayers kinda sucks, especially seeing as mage doesn't really have too many options to lowering defence of bosses except g-staff.
another thing is, I don't want to have to re-do my action bar prayers if I switch from ranged or necro to mage or melee. I feel like there needs to be some quality of life changes there before I start actually using it.
you can allways bring your trusty hammer to spec. even tho you sacrifice some adren and possibly delay your rotation its not the biggest problem...and it will always hit now so works with mage also.
I'm sorry a 99 tier prayer should not he out damaged by a normal prayer this is bs
How would making all styles boring fix that issue lol?
If you buff them enough you can get necro levels of dps without the phd or switches. You would need ALLOT of buffs… but regardless it would make casuals switch :D
Those buffs would make the switch scape, full manuals players absolutely broken though.
@@learn2k0 You’re assuming I’m suggesting that Necro is boring? I’m not. I’m suggesting just using one style for a year straight is…

Some elitist stuck in 2018 probably.
You're not wrong, I started playing way back in 08, dropped it, started up again in 2019 and rushed for curses and World Wakes and all the bossing STARTING POINT unlocks and was learning switches and my mage/range rotations but once I was able to clear Vindy consistently and got my first few Crassian kills I dropped again, came back for FSW, then finally came back a month ago. I've forgotten mage/range rotations and been focusing on leveling Necro, I'm all in on it, sold my ascensions, my nox and Inquisitor staff, and bought the omni guard, now I'm getting through hard mode Glacor with (relative) ease other than stumbling on mechanics here and there. Necro is practically brain dead for me other than staying on top of my stacks. And with passive vigour ring + passive pontifex I don't need to do all the ring switching, only switch I need to worry about is putting on my dwarf luck ring at the end of the kill lol
Literaly the perk is useless ahha dont waste your time

you talk so zesty
Man I hope jagex's UE5 project gets announced soon because if you people call these updates released in last 12 months cooking you all are on that dry oats diet.
Stop putting dev time into reviving prayers. Prayers already have their use, stepping stone for new players until they get curses. Brand new dead content and wasted boss drops.
lets not be haters, 4% crit its sound nice, I just hate rsguy because he asked few times openly devs to nerf fsoa. crits are good only with critbuilds, even newly balanced equilubrium aura necromancy is as good as max crit builds. defnlity I want more content that is good from begining. this eclipse prayer is like ezk, half baked thats need 5 new content to be good
Says he cooked with a 2 min raksha rofl. Necro sub 2s there and range you can get close to 1 min
Okay, so ranged and necro are better at Raksha. This isn't a video about that, though, it's about Eclipsed Soul.
