- I found a solution. It's helped to me.
1. In the Playstation settings menu, go to accessories and remove the VR2 controllers with old controllers that are no longer in use (DualShock, motion controllers, etc.).
2. Switch off the PS5 and when it is switched off, press and hold the power button until the second beep for about 8 seconds, connect the DualSense (not VR2 controllers) via USB and press the PS button/logo on the controller.
3. In the boot menu - go to option no.: 5 - "clear cache."
4. Again turn off Playstation. Repeat step no:. 3. Go to option no:. 5 again, but now select "Restore Database"
5. Database is restored, you are in the Playstation menu.
6. Now take in your hand the OFF VR2 controllers, reset them both (through the small hole by the L2/R2 buttons) use an earring, needle or skinny wire. Insert the wire, and hold for about 10 seconds.
7. Then connect them both with two cables (one at the front, one at the back of the PS5) and press the PS button/logo on both controls at the same time.
8. Restart VR helmet and now everything should work
Or In the boot menu - update the system - Игры
Same issue. Shit is infuriating for how much it costs. So many people reporting the issue and just silence on Sony's end is even more infuriating. There were people that got review hardware a week ago that reported the issue as well. I just hope they at least say something soon about this or I'm returning it.
I’m honestly fucking livid about this right now bro. From the access code for my call of the mountain bundle not even working, as well as the buttons don’t even register to start the game. Sony is really a bunch of worthless fucks to drop something with this many issues as well as to not have jumped on it right away and fix it. I’m really kicking myself in the ass that I spent 650$ of my hard earned money to put up with this kind of shit??
Weird bc the only issues I’ve had is one of my controllers going wonky and not working but I can fix it within 20 seconds or less by just opening and closing the game I’m playing but I only have call of the mountain but I find it strange how I’m not experiencing these things
Thank you sooo sooo soooooo much. I was just about to send it back. This is the only method that seems to make any difference at all
I had the same issue. When I'm in GT7 my controllers/ buttons does not work. I tried couple of times resetting it. Frustrating!
Reset button wasn't working for me until I hit the reset button while in game while the controller was still on. Also didn't have to plug it into the us cable either. But it's still needed for every game. Let me know if that did anything for ya.
Same issue. Right works but left won’t. A few older games had it working by starting with the duel sense then turning it on after but Star Wars and horizon were no goes.

Is this widespread issue common with all the units . Actually i was going to import one.. and with no warranty with import . I am worried.. can anyone guide me?
Same problem but with the right controller…in the game Horizon I turned off the controllers and then with my regular controller I got out of the “menu” and back in the game…turned my controllers back on in the game and it worked. This did not work for RE8 or Kayak, but for Kayak I just used “square” instead of “X” and got through the menu since you just paddle anyway…not a fix but a workaround. I’m sad and this is why I never buy stuff at launch but all those promos and whatnot… Sony got me!

Same man. It is disappointing when you spend close to 1k and it doesn’t work. Downloaded Star Wars, GT7, Pavlov, walking dead s&s, and horizon. You can get past the menus by sometimes hard reseting the controllers over and over at the menus until it will start to work. Then the left. I was able to get to the part where you pick up your bow but then I’m locked there because my L2 doesn’t work to put it away! Lmao! It’s like one slap in the face after the other. Gt7 you can play with a regular controller so there’s at least that. But yeah, 2/10 so far for controller launch.
10/10 for games launch. Please fix with a hardware update! @sony

I got my right controller to work once for one game and never since. I've tried the shut it all down, remove the controller, pin reset the controllers, turn them on while in game, out of game, in room view mode, etc.etc. Still waiting for an official 'fix'.
Any luck?
@@oraleofficial9398 Got a replacement system. All is well. Never any luck with the original.
Yeah same thing happening to me too specially with horizon
And re8 when it says to switch to psvr2 sense controllers it doesn’t switch I press X and it does nothing.

When I finally got thru to Sony they even give you the same instructions on the phone. Do a reset with the game open and repeat with each new game you open. My right triggers and x button don’t work in game. I’m a little upset. But I’m just returning it for now. I’ll wait for a Black Friday launch or something. That’s a lot of money I spent just to play one of the short list of games. Can’t even watch content in vr. Just games.

Thank you 🙏
Hey bro..I had the same issue with my left controller not working. I finally found a solution here on RUclips after trying so many things. When everything else fails, try the following. STEP 1: JUST FLICK THE TRIGGERS R2 and L2 FEW TIMES. STEP 2: PRESS AND HOLD DOWN EACH TRIGGER BUTTON AND JUST BLOW SOME AIR INTO IT WITH YOUR MOUTH AS HARD AS YOU CAN FEW TIMES. My left controller has been working perfectly fine eversince. Hope that helps!
Thank you ❤
You really deserve a lot of likes
Thanks for helping me❤
bro thanks so much I've been going crazy for almost two days the L2 trigger wasn't working I tried 1000 solutions from users on RUclips and nothing didn't solve the problem then I read this comment of yours and I blew very hard like I did with the Nintendo cartridges of the past and now the L2 trigger works now thanks a lot bro I was about to send the controller for assistance.
I’ve tried multiple reset methods and still having issues in no man’s sky. Specifically with the L2 trigger. I think some of the directions are messed up in nms though too. It said hold L2 to scan but it was actually L3. Also if you are stuck in a menu that says hold L2 to exit, you can often exit by opening the menu with the option button. Not ideal but you can at least play it that way for now.

@@LENCAK It’s working now! I found a thread in Reddit and for me it was as simple as holding the PlayStation button on the left controller for 10 seconds, it goes to the main menu and shuts off the controller. Then I went back in with the right controller and hit the PlayStation button on the left one again and it worked.
L2 is still a bit touchy but it’s playable now and I’m sure they will keep patching as we go. I’m just relieved it was not a hardware issue, seems more like software. Thanks for the reply!

I fixed simply by resetting the PSVr 2 controller. It has a little hole next to the trigger button. Did it on the second try.
Same issues
Nope. Didn't work for me. Right controller works fine navigating around the system menu but it is dead in every game. Sony screwed up big time. What ticks me off is not a single reviewer reported this problem. Did Sony cherry pick the units they were sent for review? Something stinks here.

I tried everything to get mine to work and some of these fixes worked for some games but the only thing that worked for me to get resident evil to work was this...using a small paperclip, i reset both controllers while inside resident evil game, then went to settings and deleted both controllers. Turned off console. Unplugged power from console. Unplugged the wireless, charging things in both controllers, left them out for the rest of this process. Waited 30 min. Turned console back on, kept sense controllers off. Opened resident evil with normal controller not sense. While still in resident evil game screen (looking in my psvr2 headset, no tv on or plugged in) i usb plugged in my right controller (still inside game) turned on power using playstation button on sense controller to register the right controller. Did same to left controller, and voila finally worked. Note..leaving sense controllers off until inside resident evil game did not work, but did work for pavlov, i had to do all the above to get it to work in resident evil.
