These David machines are very interesting. I would love to know more about the reasoning behind these. The only thing I can thing of is when the Oreck family lost the bid to buy the company back, they opted to rebadge Tacony machines to compete with the new era of Oreck under TTI. It kind of makes sense, because I believe the family always knew selling out to the private firm that ran them into the ground was their biggest mistake.

The Minnesota Oreck stores here were changed over to Davids Vacuums. Prior to change few years ago I walked in the Oreck store and there was some phasing in of the Dysons and Riccars. I was very confused haha. I should probably walk in and see what it is now.

I just walked into a David’s Vacuum store in Minnesota that had previously been Oreck for decades. I was super confused as to why the rebrand and the guy in the shop couldn’t really explain it well either. Any updates here?

It’s real simple. Orick went bankrupt. They revamped under the name David.

I saw videos from other youtubers that show machines from Sebo under other brands. Example Kärcher had the same model as that David also a Sebo Dart but both under the Kärcher branding and made in the EU (some assambled in Germany with EU sourced parts). Same in Australia (i am not there) they had Lux vacuums under other brand but are Lux Jubilee that you show but in the USA under a diferent denomination but with an Aerus branded badge both machines with a stain steel cover and made in the EU. Here in my country some Electrolux canister Bagless cleaners are sold under the Dirt Devil branding or under a local brand I mean same machine only different color and made in China and globaly sourced. Then Mr. Orek can not longer use its own name on the product but he switched and ask for Royalties with the first name, same History as German Manufacturer Horsh that Switch his own name to Audi at the momment he lost the righst for his own name so he just translated from German to Latin and started Audi now part of a big motor car company.
