It physically aggravated him, and he uses to do my nut driving all over the place to do a snag list or repoint a corner section AFTER we'd done a full days work. I used to curse the life out of him, but what he taught me was the value of workmanship, pride in your work, and most importantly, upholding the long and proud reputation of being "a brickie." He took a phenomenal amount of pride in that, in being a man who earns with his hands, with hard work and earning your way. Yeah, he worked us like pack horses, but now I'm wisened, I understand what he was doing. He was Instilling a responsibility in me to never let our fellow brickies down, to work hard with pride, and always do the very very best job you can do.
