Cute name!! My kids are Colin, Kaitlyn, Peyton and Tiegan. I’m a big dork and didn’t even realize initially that all my kids names end in N. My youngest’s name my mom actually found. I found out when I was 20 weeks that she had Turner Syndrome and she wasn’t expected to survive to birth. I used to call her my little princess when I was pregnant with her and my mom messaged me one day and said that Tiegan meant “little princess” so she was born and that is the name I chose and gave her my mom and I middle name Rae. It works so good for her!!
Oh cool! Thanks! Hayden, Shea, Asher and Brodi. Their full names are at the end of the video I mention them and how I like the flow of them all together ☺️
Love the name! We have a Brooks David, our boy that took us forever to nail down a name. He is named after a baseball player from the 60/70’s, and middle name is a close cousin who passed away. Then we have a daughter Kathryn Josephine, goes by Jojo. Named after my mom who passed right before she was born, and he daddy’s middle name is Joseph.
My daughter is called Olive after her great gran who passed away before we could get to meet her, this name means a lot to my boyfriend and his family x
My daughter’s name is Santina. It’s an old school Italian name BUT the real reason we chose it is - My husbands parents both died of cancer. I never got to meet them. His dad’s name was Santiago and his mom’s name was Diana so it seemed like a good combination of the two without making a name up. Her middle name is Marie which is my mom’s name and also my middle name.♥️
We also have an Asher. My husband and I lived in England (military) when a song named Brimful of Asha was popular. If you know British accents you know they often don’t pronounce the r’s at the end of words and add an r at the end of words with an uh or ah sound. So it sounds like Asher in the song. When we had our second son we saw Asher in one of those 50;000 baby names books and it really clicked for us and reminded us of good times. We also learned that it’s a special cut of diamond and the name of one of the original tribes of Israel which although spelled differently sounded like really interesting stories. So we have Asher Coll for his first and middle name. Would love to hear how you decided on Asher and the spelling you chose.
Oh I love this story and have a friend from England who has a daughter in my son Ashers class and I feel she told me about this song too! That sounds familiar to me. My husband is a huge sports fan and originally heard the name from a Blue Jays pitcher that was drafted (he never ended up being called up) And liked it . He wanted it for our first son and second son but I wasn’t feelin it for them. Then when we found out we were pregnant a third time before we even knew the gender he mentioned it again and I said yes right away and it was actually the ONLY name on our list because I was very certain we were having another boy so we didn’t even have a girls name picked just Asher haha and I really love the name Cohen so that’s how he got his name. ☺️
My oldest got his name 3 years before he was born. I was in the ER in tons of pain waiting to learn if it was appendicitis or another ovarian cyst trying to rupture. My (then fiancé) husband was with me. I turned to him and said, “I need a happy thought. If this pain was because I was in labor, what would we name the baby?” Without skipping a beat he said, “I like the name Joshua James.” James was a family name on his side of the family. Three years later I was told that I was pregnant with a little girl. We were going to call her Julia Marie-right up until I delivered and they discovered that she was actually a he. The first words out of my mouth were, “Hi, Joshua.”
I have a girl’s name picked out. I had a dream about it years ago and always liked it. My husband likes it too. We are struggling with how to spell it though. Phonetically it’s Haylnn Reese. It’s our girl name if we have a daughter. Our son’s is named Shayne Edward. The middle name is also my husband’s middle name and was his grandfather’s first name.
I love those names and am obsessed myself with names. My son is Ethan James Harvey Sauder. James was his dads first name but he always went by mike and used James as the middle. Which works amazing with him now passed. Harvey was my moms dads name. And Shaelyn Brielle Sauder. Shaelyn was that name that I always wanted when I was a young girl lol. And Brielle means god is my might as I got preg with her on an iud and they told me once they remove it we may have many complications and 50% chance of survival. And we had no complications at all
We have a Brody Mac, for our son. His middle name comes from both sides of my husbands fam that maiden names start with Mac. So it was a win win! We are pregnant with number 2 and Havnt found out the gender so suggestions welcome!
My daughters name is Ashlyn Shasta-Marie. My cousin Shasta (13) & my grandmother Marie both passed away in 1998. I knew if I ever had a baby girl that would be her middle name no matter what. I loved the name Lyn but didn’t want just Lyn as a first name...so I kept going through names that would pair with Lyn. I thought of Ashlyn but didn’t know if it was a real name or not lol...then I went on Facebook back in 2008 when it showed on your main page who people recently added as a friend. My friend Aly had just became friends with a girl named Ashlyn! From that point I knew 100% that was going to be her name!! 🥰
Awww I love this ❤️. Such a sentimental namesake and Ashlyn is so pretty. So do you call her Lyn as a nickname or does she get Ash? Our Asher gets the nickname Ash all the time and love that nickname for him
@@JamiSwanBeauty Ashlyn mainly goes by Ash. She loves having a name that has a built in nickname! I love the name Asher! That’s what Ashlyn would have been if she had been a boy!

No we spelled in the German floor way lol. I had read that that’s what it means in German online somewhere haha but that didn’t really deter me because the most common way to spell it as a first name was Boden when I researched so we went with that so the spelling and pronunciation wouldn’t always get messed up growing up.
