Great video bud..I have been going back and forth between buying a crf 450x, or a crf 450rx...I think you helped me decide.. The Rx it is..I'm hoping I can get a headlight and taillight kit for it...
thanks for this great video and your feedback! I had read the 450X was better suited to the desert, but you (and the PNW guy) say otherwise. I am a NC trail rider (60% trail, 40% MX) and I ride a 2020 300XCW, but I'm wondering what life is like on the 4T side. You've given me some food for thought, thanks!
How would you compare to ta 350 in desert type of racing?? Is it still a bit to much? I have a 2018 crf450 and I love it.... for about the first 10 minutes then it start to ride me lol just wanna know if the the 21 is more flicable and manageable
This is definitely a different machine compared to the 2020 model. As for Desert racing, it's hard for me to give reliable advise from out here in South Carolina lol. Regardless, I can tell you that the 450 lets me be a bit more lazy in the fast sections vs. the 350. Also, I believe the CRF has been dominating Baja for a while now 😉.
Yeah I got to go with the 250 after see ya fight it a little extra in turns. I live in the dense mtns of NC. Really nice bike though! Congrats! I wish it work for me. Love the power and my dealer buddy said that’s the one you want if you can handle it! Be safe!
@@kenniewebb ok I see. I really appreciate it. I went today and set on the 450rx and the 250F and the 250L. I was convinced I was going to go big and get 450 BUT then after my brother and the Honda dealership owner said I should get the 250L I told him I was getting the 250L. I will be riding in the woods/dirt roads 80% of the time but will be able to ride roads I guess if I want or need. I really don’t plan on riding it on paved roads. Lucky for me the dealer is closed tomorrow so I have until Thursday morning to decide for sure. Think I made the right decision? Thanks again 😀
Great review. I’m torn between a 22’ KTM 300 XC TPI or this ‘the bike your on but 22’ model. I am 6’4 250 I will trail ride with some single track and race some GNCCs and local hare scrambles. Some advice would be great. I live in Ohio.
You’re going to need to adjust your rear suspension if your 250, otherwise the mapping is beautiful for different riding conditions. Bike rips and can do anything you need it to. I have a 21 450rx
It wasn't bad out of the crate, the trails are nothing but whoops. But...t I sent it off to Factory Connection and had it set up for my weight & skill. 1,000% better
How much of a power difference is there between this bike and the crf450X ? I know the X is a little milder but is there a big power difference or just a little?
Actually yes it's a huge difference and you 100% will want to factor in an exhaust intake and an ecu because hot damn is its not that fast for a 450... But it 100% is a better off road bike then the rx it's way better in the tighter areas then the rx which is funny. It's probably that 6 speed gearbox.😂 Get an rx if you ride mx tracks and off road get a 450x if you ride only off road.
Great to see someone enjoying their new bike! These all new 2021 CRF450R/RX models have some big updates. The engine is still very powerful yet more rideable with smooth linear power especially low to mid rpm. Hydraulic clutch is a big improvement. The chassis responds quickly to steering inputs which makes the bike feel light in motion. Looking forward to more of your videos on your new CRF450RX. I've got the new '21 CRF450R Works Edition model. Winter weather in Ohio now but I did get it out on some frozen trails for a brief ride. The combination of smooth linear power and quick handling chassis make for a playful bike to ride even on tight trails.... ruclips.net/video/hIXylZ8NBRs/видео.html
Great question... For me personally, if I were primarily racing enduros, I wouldn't have even looked at this bike! I really enjoy enduros on my Husqvarna fx350, but if I were buying a purpose built bike just for enduro, I would probably go with 250 2 stroke, either KTM or Husky
im just down the road in columbia, grew up racing the setra series and thinking of getting back into it now that i can afford too, is setra still pretty big in the SC area? thx
New for 2021, SETRA is focusing on enduro only...so no more hare scramble. so if you're in Enduro guy, awesome time to jump in and do the local series! if you enjoy hair scrambles, check out the mideast hair scramble series 🤘🏻⚔️🤘🏻
Thanks buddy, your AMA Pro Opinion is appreciated; while making a video of how a bike handles.....I just thought maybe you would prefer to see how the bike is reacting vs. the trail I'm riding 🤷🏻♂️
I have owned three Ktm 300.s. most recently a 2019 300 XC and a 2018 300 XCW. I now have a 2021 CRF450R. I race tight single track in the mountains/rain forest of the Pacific Northwest, do not miss my 300 KTM's at all. I prefer the new 2021 Honda CRF450
Awsome video man keep them coming👍. I can’t wait to get one

I really like the 250 too man....just not enough for a guy my size!
@@kenniewebb hey thanks for responding, how big are ya? I’m 6’2” 200
Thanks again
@@lukefish7562 I'm 6'2" 185. I would keep a 250 4 stroke strung out during a GNCC. But for a fun ride, I love 'em.

@@kenniewebb and why you gotta be in better shape dawg? Of course I’m 44 next month so I was once less flabby. 🤣 Padding for my falls. 😂✌🏽

How do you like that suspension compared to other bikes? It looks like it is literally beating you to death like my 97 cr125 does me.

Did you compare this to the kTM 450 XCF 2021. Am torn between the KTM 450 and the rx
Get the RX you won’t be disappointed at all
How does the weight feel as compared to your fx350? Does it feel a lot heavier?
Not at all: it feels very similar. I would say the center of gravity makes it feel slightly lighter when leaning / cornering.
How much of a power difference is there between this bike and the crf450X ? I know the X is a little milder but is there a big power difference or just a little?

How does the power feel does it have different modes
Yes, it has three separate engine maps. All three of significantly different from mild to whiskey!
