We need more training to manage situations like that and even more to avoid such dangerous situations! I wish every firefighter a safe return to the firehouse whenever they leave it. For Training or in case of emergency. Best wishes to you and greetings from Germany 🧑🚒
Great video. Do you have any ideas or videos for a celing pull training prop that does not use consumables? Something with a lever action that requires a certain amount of pounds of push and pull to actvate and reset? Maybe a hole slightly bigger than the tool for precision?
Have you looked at the CPAT pike pole prop/station? - It uses a hinge assembly with weights - Something similar might be an option for you. In our recruit acadamy at my former career FD they had a pike pole station with 2 heavy duty springs attached to some 2x6's - You push up with the pike and pull down with the hook and the springs provide the resistance - unfortunately I don't have any videos or photos of it though.
Hello John - Thanks for reaching out Bro! - I retired from my career FD back in January of 2022 after 30 years of service - Still working on my voluteer/paid on call FD, 33+ years of service so far. Both departments are doing well and I hope you are also 👍👊
Stay safe brother.

Train like your life depends on it because it does. Stay safe brothers.
A very sobering video.

@@DALEGPEKEL the springs and 2x6 sounds interesting. I have not seen that. I have seen the CPAT one after I messaged
How's your department doing? Been awhile since I'd seen any updates.
