Today is 40 days without alcohol and 5 months without fetanyl and it’s crazy the music that kept me alive during active addiction is the same music keeping me sober . I’m grateful I got to the point in my sobriety that the music don’t bother or trigger me . We do recover , long live juice, and to anybody going through addiction or mental health or poverty or homelessness I love you and it gets better.

Depression and chemical abuse are best friends. I nearly drank myself to death drinking strong ass brandy straight, for too many years. My liver finally said fuck you--this is your last chance. It's a real wakeup call to find yourself twice your normal size and YELLOW, overnight. Did not see that shit coming. For anyone out there who's pushing the envelope, let me just say that once you get through the withdrawal (which is physically and mentally excrutiating) living clean and sober is so amazing, every single day. I'm doing more now with my painting, sculpting and songwriting than I ever would have if I had fucked up my LAST CHANCE.
