She's great. I really like her, even though I don't really listen to pop music. But her songs doesn't sound like others, their unique. She has a very nice voice and she's very beautiful.
i know every single bit of those mountains, every stream... God i miss it so much! There is no other place like this one! And of course the song is amazing!
I love music in other languages other than English even if I cannot understand them. I especially LOVE all types of Ukrainian music, my family background is Ukrainian so the culture and language holds a special place in my heart. I can't wait to learn Ukrainian this year in university and then I'll be better able to understand!
Slava Bogu..za vse scho vin anm dae... ja djakuju sa te scho u mene taka moschlivistj...schiti v Berlini... bagato hto hotiv bi si mnoju pominjatisja... Ale Ukraina..ze nasha matir... mi budemo do kinzja nashih dniv ii ditjmi...
For example, "I love you" You can say either "Ya tebia liubliu" or "Ya liubliu tebia" or "Luibliu ya tebia" or "Luibliu tebia ya". But all these sentences, even said in a smooth voice, have different meanings. If you add sentence stress and intonation, you add thousand new meanings. Russian and Ukrainian are very emotional languages. We can express our every thought with just one sentence.
Bosche, Mama Ukraina! Jak ja soskuchilasj, ja tak hochu dodomu! Nihto nemosche srosumiti chomu ze tak, poki vin nemosche dodomu! I ja rosumiju Shevchenka. Ukraina ze nasha rodina!
Continue I know what will be and I know what will not let that knowledge not hurt me My trail escapes away to the mountains There will be sun there I will be!!!!.... You do not know how wind speaks to us You do not know the fire(i think hard to tell) 1,2,3 Fire! And how it is to look upon the earth from the mountain I do know, I do know aa..Hey yo hey! Hey na-na Hey!
@roveoveer Thanks for correcting, I did not hear that part very well, I thouhgt she said "Kubanskih vinkah", but I you are right she said "Kupalskih". But I do know that the song is about Bukovina and the rest of the west of Ukraine.
Part IV The current of love is carrying and in in the morning, with the sun, I will escape! ..... I will not be able to forget nor the wind nor the mountains! I do know, I do know!... Where the Blue peaks are touching the stars there will be my fate I will not forget the wind and the mountains I do know, I do know aaaaaa Where the blue peaks are touching the sky I will leave there my HEART YEA! YEA! YEA!
Continue part III I know what will be and I know what will not let that knowledge not hurt me My trail escapes away to the mountains There will be sun there I will be!!!!..
My native language is Russian because I leave in the east of Ukraine, and I know Ukrainian very well as our official language. In both this languages word order isn't stable. If you're learning Russian you should know that you can change the place of every word in the sentence. But doing so, you must be very carefull. Word order, along with the sentence stress and intonation could change the very meaning of your words.
@aytug34tr You disrespect just ruslana or wild energy too? she sings of a deep truth she has respect for, and many people respect it too, you should watch what you say about things you do not understand or you will make people mad
@miha911 no problem friend here it goes: There is a beautiful land, which flies with the stars On the Wreaths of Kuban' (region in Russia which supposed to be in Ukraine) I will get lost or might find my love,.... I do Know!!! I do know there is no love on the plains I do know, I do know Only in the Mountains! Where to find a stream and what to ask of fire I do know, I do know,,,aa..Hey na hey! Hey na-na Hey!
hello guys, could anybody put together a complete translation (with the intro & the verse at 3:22) please? I´ve started a course of Russian, but I´m still just a beginner. And yes, I do know ukrainian is not russian. Grandma was from Ukraine, but actually moved all around Russia (meaning really all around, since some kins are living in Nakhodka). And she said once I speak russian it´s a matter of accent and very few words to understand and would come naturally... So far, it does not. Thanks!
ukie is getting into deeper shit with each passing day... i miss the ukrine that it used to be 8 years ago... miss ukraine... Im Ukrainian by blood, not by choice :)
I love how everything is all natural... green fields, forests, a river, horses... and then ruslana comes in on a hummer!

why would they speak russian when they have their own, beautiful language?
I love her. It makes me want to go to Ukrain.
If someone could translate this for me...I'd love it..
I like her so much. Amazing voice. But why she cuts her long hair?
JaSureOkay: the above was supposed to be a reply to you...

why are u think that? I mean song is great!
What irked me in this otherwise lovely song vaunting the beauties and the nature of her country is that huge gas-guzzling and polluting humvee...
@aytug34tr You disrespect just ruslana or wild energy too? she sings of a deep truth she has respect for, and many people respect it too, you should watch what you say about things you do not understand or you will make people mad
@Indraya17
Those are the greatest sins these days.
