He took Lord 2nd's time-space technique and improved it to come up with flying raijin justsu and flying raijin jutsu level 2(a type of space-time jutsu). He used Flying Raijin Level 2 to defeat a teenage antagonist of high plot-importance level in presumably the most famous 1v1 showdown in the show to date(well its 2v1 against the good guy if we count Kurama rampaging under the control of the teenage villain). The name of the villain in this showdown is Uchiha Obito.
