Those sidebumpers is so you can put it upright on the floor or a table and bass still has somewhere to go, I think that it is a smart design! That way it takes up less space aswell, good option to have when ever needed!

Those side bumpers are barely noticeable from a distance and they're translucent they're really not a big deal, plus they help protect the speaker so they're a big win for JBL in my book, people will get used to them in no time

I really like it when it can charge with powerbank. My xtreme 1 battery died and cant work if there is no plug for ac power. In case this xtreme 3 battery died, it can still functioning with powerbank which make it still "portable". Nicee one

Willington, I saw that JBL has released a firmware update for JBL extreme 3 to enable one to change EQ settings on the speaker, but the update is failing to install. JBL posted something related to that firmware update on their site. Are you aware of this firmware update?

Pls can anyone help me? I have a problem with my jbl xtreme 3 GG version, the buttons are not working only start up button works. I can press the buttons but they are not reacting. I already tried restarting and factory restarting nothing works bcs the buttons won t work. Also i can t turn off the speaker i can only turn it on and conect to my phone. I can only turn off my speaker by pressing start up button 8times times and hold it for 10 secs. The speaker plays music and videos normally without problems. PLS I NEED HELP
so annoying that xtreme 2 is over £100 cheaper because I need the xtreme 3 for party boost considering I have two flip 5’s but xtreme 3 is only slightly better than xtreme 2 which I can promise you isn’t £100 difference. (I’ve bought both to test). I’d definitely go for xtreme 2 if price is a key factor and you plan on using it stand alone but if you’re going to need party boost you’re stuck...☹️
Exactly, they don't change enough of the rest of the speaker (check the boombox vs boombox 2) and need something to use to market the new speaker so this is what they pull. I'll give them an excuse and say partyboost is on Bluetooth 5 and connect+ is Bluetooth 4.2 and below
