It really depends on the building. Even for some condos the process can take 2-3 weeks as well. I've also done deals in a co-op where everything was done in less than a week. The best thing is to ask the listing agent if they've done any past deals in the building and how long the process took.
Glad I was able to help. Do as much research as you can, so you know exactly how the process works and what to expect. Also, be prepared and have all your documents ready to submit before you even start looking at the apartments.
It depends on the building. Mostly the same, when it comes to your employment and income verification, but a board package when buying is a little bit different than a board package when renting.
Pretty much yes, with a few minor differences and instead of purchase contract, your package will include the fully executed sublease agreement. It all depends on the building. The listing agent should be able to inform you what documents you need to submit for that specific coop.

I am new to NYC and this video was what I needed back when I was looking for an apartment. Good content.
Thank you. You can always use your knowledge next time
Last part was very helpful to know why renting in a co-op can be a better option. The process just takes too long

We will be moving to NYC soon. This video was very helpful. I can see that the process wouldn't be easy ))

Awesome video. You give a lot of valuable information
Thank you
Very interesting to know all those details
Glad you enjoyed it
Very detailed explanation.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. I didn't know about the renters insurance. I was never required to get one. But I will definitely get one for my next place.
Some buildings and landlords very strict about this and the tenants must have the renters insurance. But either way, this is a good thing to have.
Great content.
Thank you
What are the documents required to rent in a coop? The same as you've mentioned in your buying a coop video?
It depends on the building. Mostly the same, when it comes to your employment and income verification, but a board package when buying is a little bit different than a board package when renting.
Seems like you can get a good deal renting in a coop. I've watched your buying in a co op video. Is the required documents the same when renting?
