Raj not having a partner by the end of the show is not just the writers and producers doing him dirty but also factually incorrect. He is from India and is successfully working in the US and his family back in India is financially well off. It’s impossible that his parents wouldn’t find him a match after 12 seasons. They should have shown him getting into an arranged marriage with an intelligent, successful Indian girl and that could have been an interesting dynamic in itself both as Raj’s own character development and the group’s too.

Raj is the one who is a hopeless romantic the entire series. So it would make sense that he would of gotten married.
I know Penny & Leonard were kind of the main focus in romance for a few seasons but I wish it let Raj meet a girl from the beginning and end up with her later on or even at the end.
Howard and Bernadette getting married first makes sense because they never had a on/off relationship but I wish since Raj is a hopeless romantic, he should of been the one who got married first.
I really wish Raj met a nice person and gotten married (or even had a kid. I can see him making his kids and Howards being best friends).
With Anu she was a good character but it was too rushed with their characters... If they ended up together, I would of been fine with it.
I liked the vet too. Yvette seemed nice as well.

Him finally cutting off Howard after his years of mistreatment was so satisfying. But that only lasted 2 episodes before he went right back Howard after he barely gave an apology. Raj in reality in the real world would have been the most successful, and in reality the most likely of the three with the doctorates to get the Nobel Prize. Even tho Anu wasn't a romantic and would have no idea what proposing to someone at Knotting Hill meant (which I actually don't understand either), she may very well have been Raj's one true final shot at a love life with a wife and kids.
Howard and Bernadette screwed him over, regardless of how they felt

FYI, my favorite Raj girlfriend was Emily Sweeney, the one that seemed to love horror movies, I think she would've been the perfect niche in the group. Plus she was pretty enough to be perfect competition for Penny in the looks department, and I really believe she care about Raj.

I would understand this ending if it meant that a person can be happy by themselves/being around true friends, but there was no storyline to show Raj's development towards that point, especially that he wanted to be in a relationship so much. And even better, after he would find peace, Raj could meet someone, and they would make each other happier, but not by trauma bonding.

The thing is that Raj could have had a great coming-out story.
They could have actually wrote him to be gay and have him get a boyfriend/husband.
Not only would he get even more character development but he would also have had a satisfying ending.
(This could also have explained why he could never hold a relationship with a girl)

The ending troubled me... On the one hand it was sad Raj ended up single, never getting a forever woman like the other 3 guys (4 counting Stuart), but on the other hand I didn't like Anu. I found her pretty unappealing and not a great match for Raj. And his least attractive girlfriend. Like, with Raj being so passive it was good to put him with a more confident, aggressive woman, but she was too far. Their early meetings she was so clinical about it and seeming to COMPLETELY lack romance. Even if you support the bucking of gender stereotypes - having the guy being super romantic and the girl lacking it - come on, a girl with NO romance being with Raj? Someone who completely can't appreciate his romantic nature? His best feature and it was wasted on her! She was the ONLY girlfriend of his I didn't like (and it was tragic that literally NOTHING happened with Yvette The Vet), have him end up with ANY of them! Claire was cute and fun and lighthearted - and I think she didn't even get a real ending - Lucy shared being awkward (bugged me that Raj was so clueless with her, how he drove her away), they fit so well! Psycho Emily was fun, and dark, and I think the longest. She was exciting and cute and intelligent and dragged Raj out of his comfort zone. They were great together! Okay, Deaf Emily was such a golddigger, but they were cute while they lasted.

Unlike wtf r u talking about? Of course Rachel should have gotten on the plane. Not getting on the plane means she not only gives up the career that she loved and was good at, she subsumes her entire personality and self worth for the overbearing and controlling Ross.
I never saw the last few seasons of Big bang since they never deemed to allow it to be streamed on any platform that I could afford - I only saw the seasons when Netflix still sent discs to your home. But I saw Friends and detest what they did to Rachel. They spent 8 years making her a whole person for it to be given up for the worst friend. The friend who is only a friend because his sister is part of this group. Sue he was college roommates with Chandler, but no one is still friends with any college roommate 10 years later. HIMYM is pure bs in that regard.
I'm sure Raj deserved better because they were always the worst to Raj, he was usually the butt of jokes and they were frequently downright racist to him. Frequently. Btw, no way Howard marries before Raj. Howard was the one most destined to be alone.

If the excuse was that he wasn't good looking or very awkward then, I doesn't even makes sense because he was the most good looking in their group and he was smart and sensitive and caring and his parents were rich he was so supportive to all the girls in the group, they can have a heartfull conversation with him anytime so many good qualities then also he is alone in the end. Stuart got a beautiful girl... Stuart... Then why not Raj. They really did him dirty.

I'm sorry I disagree with this list. Raj was an immature spoilrd child who didn't want to deal with his issues.
    1. Raj steps away from his parents to move in with his friends if mooching off of one and going to another. Plus recentlymarried people want to live with their partner. If he's successful in his field he can afford an apartment or air bnb until he finds a place. Be an adult.
    2. His career wasn't undermined. Every time Raj got an achievement he turned into a major major douche.
    3. Friends make fun of other friends it's part of being a friend.
    4. Raj while seemingly loyal also tried to get with every person's girlfriend.
    5. If Raj's issues were such a big deal in his life he'd try to get past them. Plus his ending was to be expected. He can't go from single to married without any relationship development.

I had a friend who was just like Sheldon. I was always nice to him. I even did his homework and because he felt alone in coaching in 12th grade, I demoted myself just to give him company. What was the result of all of this? He messages me saying that I am not a good friend to him just because I did a roast fight with him on message (which I guess he took seriously) and I refused to hang out because I was too busy. He is also a genius and pursuing physics. That is the sad part. Sometimes you do so much for someone but they always denigrate you. That guy also sometimes talked in a condescending way with me in regards to money but I always let it go thinking he is like a brother to me. One day what happens is that since his mother passed away of Corona, in a roasting session I by mistake roasted him about his mom and immediately felt guilty and said please let's stop this, it doesn't feel good. He got angry, instigated me to talk more and tricked me into getting my location. I thought he will come and we will have fun but the asshole came along with his brother to beat me up. I never hit him once and even asked him to stop and think about what he is doing. When he went, I even called him to appologize but he acted like a jerk. I realised then and there that day that friendships are always two way. Sure, never hesitate in giving it your all to your friends but make sure it is a two way emotion. People are real jerks out there because they think they deserve something bigger than life. He literally has told me on multiple occassions that so n so has no status and his status is more than his status. I mean, how can one tolerate such a shallow person? I still did thinking that this is one way of looking at life but I thought he is an intellectual, probably he knows what he is doing but I was wrong. Another insight people tend to show what a hard rocking person they are and you should probably think twice before messing with them, but they are just insecure babies from inside. They will get hurt even at slightest of shots. So these are not friends you can joke and enjoy with. Have them in your contact list and just visit them when you are feeling like a listener.

Sounds like this could have been a case of incompatibility and missed signals. He might be autistic--we tend to take things literally, which could have been why he got upset at the roast fight.
Basically, all we know from this comment is that you did a lot of things for him that you thought he would appreciate because you would have appreciated them in his situation, but what he took out of all of this was that you didn't spend enough time with him and you "accidentally" roasted his dead mother.
People have different "love languages" (perhaps you might want to google that if you aren't familiar with it). Some people feel more loved with quality time, some with acts of service. Some people take words more seriously than other people and might take teasing literally. Just because you put in a lot of effort to make a person feel loved by doing things that *you* would have appreciated, doesn't mean that they will take away that feeling of being loved that you intended. I speak from experience.

You should be able to expect help in return for giving help, to whatever degree the other person is able to return it.
