Just so you know not everything in RUclips videos about 2b2t especially a FitMc video is not an accurate recount of the server. For example the main statement of this video that 2b2t almost died in that time frame is factually false. RUclipsrs often over dramatise events on the server in order to get more views. So you shouldn't take everything in these videos as the absolute truth.
The reason everyone was angry and decided to leave is that the server being an anarchy server, everyone was suppose to be on an even playing field, yea you can use hacks and various exploits but everyone can. The big problem is that Tyranny were not on the same level as all the other players they had op status and they had backdoor server info, so if tyranny wanted to they could destroy everything you worked for and there would be nothing you could do to stop it. While yes it's anarchy and the players understand that they might lose everything if they weren't careful but because tyranny did the things they did there was no longer a counter measure to being griefed, you couldn't go hide your base millions of blocks away underground because they could still find it with practically no difficulty. A lot of the fun of anarchy is the intrigue the back stabbing the planning, using all sorts of crazy schemes to find peoples bases and destroy them but with so much power tyranny didn't need any of that anymore and thus sucked any semblance of fun out of the game for most; after all what's the point of trying to form some secret organization and fighting against others if you can just be completely destroyed randomly one day on a complete whim with no way to fight back?
But you also have to be critical of the source you are getting the information from. FitMc often over dramatically recounts the events on 2b2t in order to get more views. Which I don't think is a surprise as he is first and foremost a RUclipsr who wants to make money of these videos which also means that an accurate depiction of the server often goes into the background. For example in this video he says that the playerbase quit 2b2t after this event wich is factually false. So just all I'm saying is to take the way RUclipsrs depict the server with a grain of salt.

I'm 35 minutes in, and you ask about what people are mad about and say that "isn't that what anarchy is?" alright, long explanation incoming. alright, so anarchy in that server is letting the playerbase be anarchists themselves, they might use glitches and hacks, but that's anarchy. when someone with operator abilities starts messing things up, like if hausmaster all of a sudden just reset the entire world, that'd be a complete abuse of power, and the fact that tyranny got hold of one of the operator accounts, meant that they had op powers. it would be the same as if an operator just started handing out literal god weapons and illegal items to a random person, except this time it was all tyranny's fault because they were the ones taking the items and using the operator's account. also the fact that somebody can find your base and know your base coords is also anarchy, but if it was done illegitimately, like using an operators powers to do it, that wouldn't be letting the playerbase try to figure it out themselves, and would again be abuse of power. the reason everyone left was mainly because all of what i explained above and because they felt iwas unfair comparitively if it was just a regular player. if it was a regular faction of players, they wouldn't be able to instantaneously know everything about every single player idk if that was a good explanation attempted tl;dr: anarchy is doing things as a playerbase without operator powers (which literally gives access to everything), but in this case op person were used, which made everyone quit and leave because they saw it as quite literally being unfair
@@slimeblue3387 Considering that the player count dropped drastically after the whole situation came to light and people felt very untrusting of Haus’s judgement, people weren’t logging on as often or were avoiding the server. While people would’ve come back given time, the server’s activity would’ve dwindled to nearly nothing, meaning Haus would’ve had no reason to keep it up because there was nobody playing it and he’d have no one to blame but himself for a mistake that cost him a huge amount of his player base. Again, it could’ve survived despite the lack of players at any given time, yet the chances aren’t super high. If a huge server drops in player count from hundreds/ to nobody, on a reoccurring basis over the course of months, it’s often that people pull the plug. Before Tyranny’s reveal and in the modern era, 2b2t sees activity even when next to nobody else is active because those shitters wanna stir the pot. Fit showed us at peak hours that he was alone during a period of time, when next to nobody else was coming online. If that kept up, Haus would have every reason to pull the plug , killing the oldest “anarchy” server in Minecraft

Tyranny is the enemy of anarchy. If everyone is on equal footing in their destructive capabilities then essentially nobody is better than any other. That said, if there is one person who is able to take control of and abuse methods that nobody else has then all the fun is gone. That's the thing about 2B2T. Yes, your builds can be destroyed, but you have the power to fight back because you are on equal footing. But if somebody is able to abuse methods that nobody else has then there are no consequences for their actions. That's what makes the 1 day wither thing and the bed chain so stupid. They did everything they could but they couldn't do anything to fight back because there was no equal footing. Anarchy isn't a one way system, and that's what makes it so problematic. While it's unpleasant to have your base destroyed, the feeling is nothing compared to being one-shot by a sword that can only exist by being spawned in by an admin (32k sword) or people finding your base by simply checking the server files which you can't access. That's why people quit.

When you say a minecraft server is anarchy you mean 2 things: 1. There are no rules 2. The admin nor any other moderators do anything except of course some pluggings to keep the server running. Housemaster gave benefits (or tirany gpt them themselfs) thus making it not an "anarchy"
The reason why 2b2t shall mercilessly slaughter players en masse is to keep its players skilled. Only the strongest and smartest survive. 2b2t works hard to make sure that their queue is not filled with weak players, but the most skilled.
Nah we kill new players in a attempt of making them quit, we only care about the length of the queue. Since fit blew up the queue was around 4+ hours and prioritiqueue is 1+ hours nowadays. all we do is trying to make them quit.
long time 2b player here lots to unpack woo boy you seem to not really understand what a backdoor implies, along with understanding how 2b really works which is understandable. I'll try to unpack this best I can. bed chain - the beds weren't placed one after another. They were placed a reasonable distance apart that way if a random player found the chain they couldn't just instant warp to the end destination. Even if you found one bed you would still have to know the locations of the other warp points to keep traveling the chain each bed was likely a few thousand blocks apart so jared would either have to search or he'd have to spend a few hours walking to each teleport location. Region files - These mean that tristan had access to the entire server and he could fuck around with the map. Had he wanted, he could of completely deleted spawn, spawned in new chunks with whatever he wanted in them, and deleted players bases if he knew the cords (which he did). "Why would this cause everybody to quit" imagine if you had the power to know the cordinates to every player currently online, and at any moment you felt like you could teleport to their base and destroy it. There's nothing you can do to stop them, and if you are enemies with them you just have to log off and never log on again. The server admin refuses to admit there is a backdoor and does not believe anyone, meanwhile every base on 2b2t is being griefed Everyone laughs at the georgebush420 part lol "this is not a frequent occurence" you are entirely correct, this has only happened once in a decade. No backdoor on 2b has ever been so deep as this one. And no, tristian and co were not trying to get the actual real world information of people (besides a handful of occurences like oremonger) you're misunderstanding why this is so serious. Backdoors are extremely uncommon only 3 have ever happened in an entire decade of the servers existence. Let me just clarify how a backdoor differs from a normal hack as well. All players use hacked clients on 2b, which is a hack that modifies the clientside data sent to the server. A backdoor is a type of hack that allows you to modify or change data on the serverside which is extremely dangerous. A clientside hack has to deal with serverside checks not to mention anti-cheats etc... a backdoor does not. "if the server wasn't actually anarchy I feel like people would be correcting fit on that", this all took place 2015-2016, when the server had at most 20-100 active players at a time, fit's fan base is 95% people who've never logged onto 2b and 4% people who found out about 2b after 2016. They wouldn't know about this. Furthermore the number of people who were in the "know" for all these events either had tried or no longer cared. You can find several posts about this on the 2b2t subreddit if you go back between 2016 jan-june "fit: I could of been destroyed at any time instantly, YoBGS: but isn't that what anarchy is?" yes, but that does not necessarily mean it is fun or enjoyable. Imagine a dream manhunt where sapnap has the ability to type /kill dream and it kills dream. And everytime dream reaches the end he just kills dream that way or anytime dream insults sapnap or kills sapnap, sapnap just instantly kills him back, no one would find that enjoyable to watch. At any given moment Fit could of had his end chest contents deleted, his bed location TP'd to, his base found and griefed, and any farming he did effortlessly undone by a person who spawned in god gear. You're essentially trying to play a pvp server vs a guy who has access to creative mode and operator status and isn't afraid to abuse the power. People are mad tristan got control and hause spent months denying it despite overwhelming player evidence "But at any time you could have your base found, leaked, and griefed" true, but unlike a backdoor players have more control over this. Your base won't get leaked if you only let trusted players into your base similarly you can also have your base be extremely difficult to find, like jack did by putting his base in the millions. None of this matters though for a backdoor, a backdoor means you could just instantly teleport to any player online or any players log off location and find their base. And there's nothing you can do about it except complain to hausemaster and pray he patches it before tristan finds your base. You certainly can't fight them, and there's nothing you can do except log off and hope you aren't found. To the playerbase, it looked as if hausemaster and tristan were buddy buddy and he was willingly ignoring and overlooking tristans actions because they were friends, while tristan abused his power. In a sense fit was right, the server was advertised to be anarchy but it was anything but, tristan had all the powers of admin and used his powers to give himself an unfair advantage while taking down all who opposed him. Thats not anarchy. Thats dictatorship. And yes, back in 2010-2015 20+ people online was considered a lot of people. "But you don't want that" (in reference to people viewing/watching 2b content) **fit wants that** its good for his channel, **the old playerbase does not want that** this is why the majority of 2b players really dislike fit. He lied to the old playerbase propping himself up as one of them against rusher trying to stop these people from playing 2b, only for him to sell out and become the thing they originally stood up against. And you might think this is all some edgy roleplay drama (which you're entirely right) but 2b has greatly suffered because of youtubers and fit's actions specifically. The real 2b died in 2018, it was on life support between 2016-2018. If you have further questions let me know. Did best I could to explain everything.
Not a 2b2t player, but from what I've gathered, the idea of Anarchy is that anything goes, sure, but anything goes for _everyone._ Everyone has (Potential) access to the same tools, the same exploits, the same everything, and the only real factor that changes things is the skill each player has at obtaining and using them. That's what makes it fair, at least in the eyes of the players; Everything is up to their personal skill. Tyranny's actions go against this is that access to Creative Mode, Region Files that can only be taken from the server directly, etc, are all tools nobody else has access to, or even conceivably could get access to. It ruins the level playing field, essentially elevating one group to god status above the rest, and that kind of central authority is antithetical to anarchy.
A few things before I comment this, please watch Fit's Pyrobyte video it will explain more things about his history and the reason he's the king. Secondly, I might be repeating some info from the sea of comments here. also, you can never trust anyone on 2b2t, unless they have a respectable reputation on the server like Fit here or Pyrobyte. The reason the 2b2t community quit was that they all saw Tyranny's back door access as god mode. Backdoor access means you can access all player data, when you have access to all player data you can see cords for secret bases. If it was a normal grief the bases would just get found by a wandering player and they would have griefed, but the fact that a base that was located millions of blocks away from spawn was grief means that they had access to the server's database of player info. Anarchy is disorder due to a lack of authority. Since Tyranny destroyed 2 different bases in two different dimensions and both of which were millions of blocks away people started to realize there was an authoritative group that basically controls the server. About the bed exploit, the reason the chain was easily broken was because it takes time to die in Minecraft. Also on the note of over enchanted items, idk if you know this, but there are over enchanted items. That stash of tools and weapons Fit mentioned in the video had 32k weapons. This means the weapons were enchanted with things like sharp 32 thousand and other things. 32k weapons are illegal, but they can still be used with hacked clients.

Here's my take on this. Yes you can find bases just by roaming but it's almost impossible to find it knowing 2b2t has 10,000,000 by 10,000,000. With the mistrust of the people that their bases will get leak anyways. That's why people quit the server. That's why everyone was so mad. Fit and the other players love 2b2t but knowing the doubt of backdoor access people just quit instead.
But actually only a few people quit the server becouse of this at the time rusher joined 2b2t still had a healthy 20 players online regularly. So Fit claiming that the server almost died at that time is just wrong.
Lol the guy that claimed to be immortal trolled fit, he didn't become "immortal". Also the "immortality exploit" gets called the godmode exploit, which was done before by other players, but fit didn't make a vid about them did he?
28:50 Little confused here, because this really has nothing to do with 2b. Leaks like this happen several times a year at least, and people will use that info to get into people's accounts. These people could be playing on any server on minecraft, or never even touched minecraft since they bought it and still be hacked. You as a youtuber are far far more at risk of something like this than any 2b2t player ever will be. Remember guys, practice basic digital security measures and keep up with leaks in whatever way you wish to stay safe regardless of what you are doing or how safe you think you are.
A smaller mc youtuber i watch zylenox recently got a 4th place rsg speedrun. He did a commentary of it and uploaded. Its so cool to see him go from trying to get sub 30 runs to having a sub 16 run.
Here's an explanation of why killing new players, which may seem like it would drive them away, actually brought even more players to the server, saving it. As Fit said, conflict is what keeps the server alive. If the Veterans hadn't started a war with the sudden influx of new players, almost all of those new players would've almost certainly become disinterested and stop playing. But the conflict gave them a reason to keep playing on the server. Now the new players felt like they had something to fight against and something to fight for. So why didn't these new players just quit after the war was over and the conflict had ended? The answer is that, although that war had ended, the existence of conflict within the server hadn't. As Fit said in the video, he and Rusher essentially altered the culture of the server to that of a vast battleground of constant conflict. So although the initial conflict that was the Rusher War had ended, it created ripples throughout the server that gave rise to countless new, smaller conflicts. This meant that the players attracted by the initial conflict were now more likely to continue playing after the fact, being sustained by the new, remaining conflicts. If you want another example of how conflict breeds popularity, just look at the Dream SMP. Many viewers attribute its massive success to the frequent wars and such, starting when Tommy joined and started causing mischief. If the Dream SMP was still as it was when it first started, being nothing more than a small group of people hanging out with each other on Minecraft, it wouldn't be as successful as it is now.
Anarchism's motivation is not complete destruction, it's equality. Destruction is often a symptom of having this as an ideology as there is no government, but the true ideology is believing in equality, which relates to having no higher status. Everyone should be on the same playing field. Tyranny had unfair amounts of power, and were threatening true anarchism. I gotta be honest, it's surprising that you don't understand why people were getting mad, just put yourself in there shoes. This video is annoying to watch because everytime something important happens you just pause and ask "Isn't that what anarchy is?"
It wasn't an anarchy when Tristan & friends were imposing their power on others, it was an oligarchy. House is more of a leader in the sense of an monarcho-anarchy, where there are simply no rules, but if House thinks something is bad, they can stop it with absolute power.
The region files are are significant because on a server the only way to obtain them is with admin/super-user access which a normal player definitely is not supposed to have. Tristan had the mother of all backdoor's.
To meet you is almost complete Anarchy but it does have to be kept in some limits or the server would quickly become unplayable for example housemaster how to delete lag machines or the server will crash and that's glitches which would make the server unplayable for everybody you're illegal items which are not allowed on the server but these are only a few items to stop places from being Unbreakable unkillable
basically the problem here is that they had operator statics and could do what ever they wanted when ever they wanted and no one else could do anything about it, because of this they left
Someone has explained this, I’m sure, yet I’m doing this for the sake of redundancy. Popbob’s spawning at the chain wasn’t a coincidence, if I had to put my money somewhere. Just with a couple commands, iTristan would be able to set Popbob’s spawn point anywhere in the server, all the while communicating with his fellow members of Tyranny on a separate platform. This is why it’s significant: Popbob hasn’t been heard from in months and outta nowhere is *COINCIDENTALLY* at the exact spot he’s needed? That doesn’t add up in any scenario. As for Region Files and World Downloads, it’s a little less straightforward yet pretty understandable. With a region file, you’ve essentially got a region of the server (a couple chunks or an entire biome, depending on the greedy bastard in question)…Meaning you can take sections of the map and explore them in your free time, outside of the server, to find a base! You’d have 2b2t’s world downloaded and the region files present so you-on your own version of the world-can instantly explore the region in question, with 0 interference from another player and all the time in the world to find nooks and crannies. Now, Lemme preface this with something else: I’m explaining this as someone who doesn’t understand these concepts all too well myself. I’m coming at this as a guy who understands things visually, but because these are described as files, it could literally come down to Tyranny having a wall of text saying what blocks are present in the biome, what chests are present and what all’s inside of it! I’m going with the perspective of someone who’d enjoy exploring, rather than someone who wants to read a shit-ton of code. Hacking is a cool skill, understanding code is invaluable, however I struggle with that to such an insane degree that it’s not how I picture things. Most likely, it’s the latter, yet I’m explaining this as I understand/perceive the threat. Tl;Dr : you have Literal Regions of the 2b2t map at your fingertips. You can figure out what’s there and how to get there quickest
Can i suggest looking at mumbo jumbos 3 part tour on scicraft? It's pretty long(each ep. is around an hour) but its really interesting and i really want yout to see the technical side of minecraft. I belive that the thing that made people quit was that because the sever is supposed to be Anarchy, meaning there would be NO ADMIN, NO OPERATOR, NO OWNER intervention. All hacks, all exploits in the game, even scummy thing you do from lying, backstabbing, Intimidation and persuasion is allowed. Tyranny having OP powers, means that all of the work people had to do to find bases, kill people, hacks and such advantages become useless when the enemy control the sever and is no longer a player vs player, but instead player vs OP. Also the reason players, Veterans, killed new players, its because the queue time of the server goes to HOURS, and the more "unskilled" players or not serious players that join, the longer the queue it is, preventing the old strong players to join the sever faster. Only the strong can survive in 2B2T.

Going for any anarchy server, why someone would trust another? From experience, players working together can create great things. Unfortunately, also from experience, if you're not careful, you can get betrayed. People will cover the others in the group who are weaker. For example, a former group and base I was in - I'm not the best at PvP or redstone, and I'm sure as hell not a expert duper. But I'm a good builder. In the group, there was also a good redstoneer, a good pvper, and a good duper. We all covered each other's weakness. Well, until the traitor betrayed us causing some shit to go down. People were mad because in actual anarchy, everyone is on more or less the same level. Sure you can hack, glitch and fuck people up but EVERYONE CAN. What Tiranny did is the equivalent of Hausemaster deciding to grief people. There is literally no countermeasure to that at all; you can't do ANYTHING about it because op access basically makes you god Hid your base millions of blocks underground, fortified it with obsidian, abused game mechanics, used hacks, used traps, tried to kill the griefer? Doesn't matter. And that took the fun out of it because the playing field was no longer even remotely even
Funny enough. You can basically know all the info of a slyblock player by typing their username into a website. You can see how much money is in their purse amd bank, what weapons they use armor they have. Their stats. Even thier inventory and e chest.
"32k items" are actually items with 32727 enchant levels... such as sharpness 32727, which basically kills anything in one hit. That's literally unattainable for anyone and means that the whole point of anarchy, that everyone has the potential to use equal hacks and exploits, was destroyed. "32k items" basically means that you can't run away because you die instantly, can't fight because you die instantly, you can't just die and forget about it because they can find your bed, and you cant do anything. They violated the "ceiling" of power in the server, the one thing that made everyone equal.

the server follows the creed "conflict is the root of all being" there is no place on the server for those who feel victimized. only those that embrace conflict and the unfairness that comes with it end up continuing after their first few attempts during their youtubers raid. however those that can escape spawn, aquire "real armor" (Full netherite enchant is only armor) and KEEP LOGGING IN the 15th time they lose that armor will be accepted. because they get the idea of conflict on 2b2t.

I am pretty sure bed chains only made it take 1/16 the time to travel but when you travel 100 mil or so blocks that is double the speed of the 1/8 of nether travel
Anarchy is about the freedom of players on a level playing field. That means all *players* are allowed to do whatever they want, you can do whatever and normally without inhibitions humanity's animalistic impulses shine through. You suddenly need to start outsmarting them, outbuilding them, out-exploiting them, to even survive and let alone thrive. The "ruler" should be completely hands-off other than managerial tasks like maintaining the server and interfering whenever some sort of exploit destroys the level playing field; like back-door access. Hausmaster was very much so not a hands-off admin, and he censored that. If he was completely hands-off other than the ABSOLUTE minimum amount of management required then it'd be a true anarchy server. But he isn't and he tries to hide it, so 2b2t has never been a true anarchy server, but It's the closest thing to it as far as I'm aware.
As a former 2b2t player; you just don’t trust anyone. I was a lone wolf and lived through some of these things and the first 2 incursions. I learned to not trust anyone
and back then when the sever only had maybe 50 people if you backstab someone you didn't just lose the trust of them cause once you do it EVERYONE would know
The problem is that, 2b2t is anarchy, but is it ok to break the server in ways that makes the server umplayable or that sucks out the fun of playing in the server, even in anarchy, people wouldn't want their fun to be ruined, and if godlike beings suddenly appeared out of nowhere just to fuck everyone up, no one would be happy
What part of "anarchy" do you not understand? The power comes from individuality. Everyone has the same level of power. Everyone fights for themselves. Kill or be killed. Tyranny however, had literal access to power that made them above everyone else. They become, well, tyrants: the opposite of anarchy. That's unfair; that's against the whole purpose of the server. If you're going to kill someone, do it with your own blade. You can't use backdoor access.

It wasn't because they wanted the server to die by killing the newbies, it was a way to relieve stress and teach them not to trust people in any capacity.
"Why would you want barrier blocks" its more of a bragging thing. For example, on the anarchy server I go on, radium anarchy, I have some illegals like one layer of snow or farm blocks, player heads, stone with no texture or hacked arrows. You cant really use these practically except for the arrows, but you can be like: „Hey, I have these illegals, cool right?“ Some of these Illegals CAN be used though. Like I know a player on the server that has a flint and steel that when you walk in the fire, it bans you. Thats right. Bans you.
Is no one talking about how this guy yobgs is just trying to get views from a good RUclipsrs video while he just sits and comments on some stuff like fit takes about a month to make each video but this guy probably only spent a few hours
no fit probably spent 10 minutes thinking about it atleast 60 - 90% of fits content in his videos are false i recommend going and listening to tristans and co perspectives
the whole reason for killing new players is to keep the strong ones on and leave the weak ones behind as it’s a fairly toxic server. the ones that keep going even after death are the ones who can survive said toxicity if I’m not mistaken.

Just so you know not everything in RUclips videos about 2b2t especially a FitMc video is not an accurate recount of the server. For example the main statement of this video that 2b2t almost died in that time frame is factually false. RUclipsrs often over dramatise events on the server in order to get more views. So you shouldn't take everything in these videos as the absolute truth.
The reason everyone was angry and decided to leave is that the server being an anarchy server, everyone was suppose to be on an even playing field, yea you can use hacks and various exploits but everyone can. The big problem is that Tyranny were not on the same level as all the other players they had op status and they had backdoor server info, so if tyranny wanted to they could destroy everything you worked for and there would be nothing you could do to stop it. While yes it's anarchy and the players understand that they might lose everything if they weren't careful but because tyranny did the things they did there was no longer a counter measure to being griefed, you couldn't go hide your base millions of blocks away underground because they could still find it with practically no difficulty. A lot of the fun of anarchy is the intrigue the back stabbing the planning, using all sorts of crazy schemes to find peoples bases and destroy them but with so much power tyranny didn't need any of that anymore and thus sucked any semblance of fun out of the game for most; after all what's the point of trying to form some secret organization and fighting against others if you can just be completely destroyed randomly one day on a complete whim with no way to fight back?

But you also have to be critical of the source you are getting the information from. FitMc often over dramatically recounts the events on 2b2t in order to get more views. Which I don't think is a surprise as he is first and foremost a RUclipsr who wants to make money of these videos which also means that an accurate depiction of the server often goes into the background. For example in this video he says that the playerbase quit 2b2t after this event wich is factually false. So just all I'm saying is to take the way RUclipsrs depict the server with a grain of salt.

alright, so anarchy in that server is letting the playerbase be anarchists themselves, they might use glitches and hacks, but that's anarchy. when someone with operator abilities starts messing things up, like if hausmaster all of a sudden just reset the entire world, that'd be a complete abuse of power, and the fact that tyranny got hold of one of the operator accounts, meant that they had op powers. it would be the same as if an operator just started handing out literal god weapons and illegal items to a random person, except this time it was all tyranny's fault because they were the ones taking the items and using the operator's account.
also the fact that somebody can find your base and know your base coords is also anarchy, but if it was done illegitimately, like using an operators powers to do it, that wouldn't be letting the playerbase try to figure it out themselves, and would again be abuse of power. the reason everyone left was mainly because all of what i explained above and because they felt iwas unfair comparitively if it was just a regular player. if it was a regular faction of players, they wouldn't be able to instantaneously know everything about every single player

That's wrong only a few players who where salty left the server at that time. Most players stayed so the server was no where near dead.
@@slimeblue3387 Considering that the player count dropped drastically after the whole situation came to light and people felt very untrusting of Haus’s judgement, people weren’t logging on as often or were avoiding the server.
While people would’ve come back given time, the server’s activity would’ve dwindled to nearly nothing, meaning Haus would’ve had no reason to keep it up because there was nobody playing it and he’d have no one to blame but himself for a mistake that cost him a huge amount of his player base.
Again, it could’ve survived despite the lack of players at any given time, yet the chances aren’t super high. If a huge server drops in player count from hundreds/ to nobody, on a reoccurring basis over the course of months, it’s often that people pull the plug.
Before Tyranny’s reveal and in the modern era, 2b2t sees activity even when next to nobody else is active because those shitters wanna stir the pot. Fit showed us at peak hours that he was alone during a period of time, when next to nobody else was coming online. If that kept up, Haus would have every reason to pull the plug , killing the oldest “anarchy” server in Minecraft

Tyranny is the enemy of anarchy. If everyone is on equal footing in their destructive capabilities then essentially nobody is better than any other. That said, if there is one person who is able to take control of and abuse methods that nobody else has then all the fun is gone.
That's the thing about 2B2T. Yes, your builds can be destroyed, but you have the power to fight back because you are on equal footing. But if somebody is able to abuse methods that nobody else has then there are no consequences for their actions. That's what makes the 1 day wither thing and the bed chain so stupid. They did everything they could but they couldn't do anything to fight back because there was no equal footing.
Anarchy isn't a one way system, and that's what makes it so problematic. While it's unpleasant to have your base destroyed, the feeling is nothing compared to being one-shot by a sword that can only exist by being spawned in by an admin (32k sword) or people finding your base by simply checking the server files which you can't access. That's why people quit.

When you say a minecraft server is anarchy you mean 2 things:
1. There are no rules
2. The admin nor any other moderators do anything except of course some pluggings to keep the server running.

The reason why 2b2t shall mercilessly slaughter players en masse is to keep its players skilled. Only the strongest and smartest survive. 2b2t works hard to make sure that their queue is not filled with weak players, but the most skilled.
Nah we kill new players in a attempt of making them quit, we only care about the length of the queue. Since fit blew up the queue was around 4+ hours and prioritiqueue is 1+ hours nowadays. all we do is trying to make them quit.

you seem to not really understand what a backdoor implies, along with understanding how 2b really works which is understandable. I'll try to unpack this best I can.
bed chain - the beds weren't placed one after another. They were placed a reasonable distance apart that way if a random player found the chain they couldn't just instant warp to the end destination. Even if you found one bed you would still have to know the locations of the other warp points to keep traveling the chain each bed was likely a few thousand blocks apart so jared would either have to search or he'd have to spend a few hours walking to each teleport location.
Region files - These mean that tristan had access to the entire server and he could fuck around with the map. Had he wanted, he could of completely deleted spawn, spawned in new chunks with whatever he wanted in them, and deleted players bases if he knew the cords (which he did).
"Why would this cause everybody to quit" imagine if you had the power to know the cordinates to every player currently online, and at any moment you felt like you could teleport to their base and destroy it. There's nothing you can do to stop them, and if you are enemies with them you just have to log off and never log on again. The server admin refuses to admit there is a backdoor and does not believe anyone, meanwhile every base on 2b2t is being griefed

And no, tristian and co were not trying to get the actual real world information of people (besides a handful of occurences like oremonger) you're misunderstanding why this is so serious.
Backdoors are extremely uncommon only 3 have ever happened in an entire decade of the servers existence. Let me just clarify how a backdoor differs from a normal hack as well. All players use hacked clients on 2b, which is a hack that modifies the clientside data sent to the server. A backdoor is a type of hack that allows you to modify or change data on the serverside which is extremely dangerous. A clientside hack has to deal with serverside checks not to mention anti-cheats etc... a backdoor does not.
"if the server wasn't actually anarchy I feel like people would be correcting fit on that", this all took place 2015-2016, when the server had at most 20-100 active players at a time, fit's fan base is 95% people who've never logged onto 2b and 4% people who found out about 2b after 2016. They wouldn't know about this. Furthermore the number of people who were in the "know" for all these events either had tried or no longer cared. You can find several posts about this on the 2b2t subreddit if you go back between 2016 jan-june

Imagine a dream manhunt where sapnap has the ability to type /kill dream and it kills dream. And everytime dream reaches the end he just kills dream that way or anytime dream insults sapnap or kills sapnap, sapnap just instantly kills him back, no one would find that enjoyable to watch. At any given moment Fit could of had his end chest contents deleted, his bed location TP'd to, his base found and griefed, and any farming he did effortlessly undone by a person who spawned in god gear. You're essentially trying to play a pvp server vs a guy who has access to creative mode and operator status and isn't afraid to abuse the power. People are mad tristan got control and hause spent months denying it despite overwhelming player evidence

Your base won't get leaked if you only let trusted players into your base similarly you can also have your base be extremely difficult to find, like jack did by putting his base in the millions. None of this matters though for a backdoor, a backdoor means you could just instantly teleport to any player online or any players log off location and find their base. And there's nothing you can do about it except complain to hausemaster and pray he patches it before tristan finds your base. You certainly can't fight them, and there's nothing you can do except log off and hope you aren't found.
To the playerbase, it looked as if hausemaster and tristan were buddy buddy and he was willingly ignoring and overlooking tristans actions because they were friends, while tristan abused his power.
In a sense fit was right, the server was advertised to be anarchy but it was anything but, tristan had all the powers of admin and used his powers to give himself an unfair advantage while taking down all who opposed him. Thats not anarchy. Thats dictatorship.
And yes, back in 2010-2015 20+ people online was considered a lot of people.
"But you don't want that" (in reference to people viewing/watching 2b content) **fit wants that** its good for his channel, **the old playerbase does not want that** this is why the majority of 2b players really dislike fit. He lied to the old playerbase propping himself up as one of them against rusher trying to stop these people from playing 2b, only for him to sell out and become the thing they originally stood up against. And you might think this is all some edgy roleplay drama (which you're entirely right) but 2b has greatly suffered because of youtubers and fit's actions specifically. The real 2b died in 2018, it was on life support between 2016-2018.

Not a 2b2t player, but from what I've gathered, the idea of Anarchy is that anything goes, sure, but anything goes for _everyone._ Everyone has (Potential) access to the same tools, the same exploits, the same everything, and the only real factor that changes things is the skill each player has at obtaining and using them. That's what makes it fair, at least in the eyes of the players; Everything is up to their personal skill.
Tyranny's actions go against this is that access to Creative Mode, Region Files that can only be taken from the server directly, etc, are all tools nobody else has access to, or even conceivably could get access to. It ruins the level playing field, essentially elevating one group to god status above the rest, and that kind of central authority is antithetical to anarchy.
A few things before I comment this, please watch Fit's Pyrobyte video it will explain more things about his history and the reason he's the king. Secondly, I might be repeating some info from the sea of comments here. also, you can never trust anyone on 2b2t, unless they have a respectable reputation on the server like Fit here or Pyrobyte.
The reason the 2b2t community quit was that they all saw Tyranny's back door access as god mode. Backdoor access means you can access all player data, when you have access to all player data you can see cords for secret bases. If it was a normal grief the bases would just get found by a wandering player and they would have griefed, but the fact that a base that was located millions of blocks away from spawn was grief means that they had access to the server's database of player info. Anarchy is disorder due to a lack of authority. Since Tyranny destroyed 2 different bases in two different dimensions and both of which were millions of blocks away people started to realize there was an authoritative group that basically controls the server.
About the bed exploit, the reason the chain was easily broken was because it takes time to die in Minecraft.
Also on the note of over enchanted items, idk if you know this, but there are over enchanted items. That stash of tools and weapons Fit mentioned in the video had 32k weapons. This means the weapons were enchanted with things like sharp 32 thousand and other things. 32k weapons are illegal, but they can still be used with hacked clients.

Here's my take on this. Yes you can find bases just by roaming but it's almost impossible to find it knowing 2b2t has 10,000,000 by 10,000,000. With the mistrust of the people that their bases will get leak anyways. That's why people quit the server. That's why everyone was so mad. Fit and the other players love 2b2t but knowing the doubt of backdoor access people just quit instead.
But actually only a few people quit the server becouse of this at the time rusher joined 2b2t still had a healthy 20 players online regularly. So Fit claiming that the server almost died at that time is just wrong.

28:50 Little confused here, because this really has nothing to do with 2b. Leaks like this happen several times a year at least, and people will use that info to get into people's accounts. These people could be playing on any server on minecraft, or never even touched minecraft since they bought it and still be hacked. You as a youtuber are far far more at risk of something like this than any 2b2t player ever will be. Remember guys, practice basic digital security measures and keep up with leaks in whatever way you wish to stay safe regardless of what you are doing or how safe you think you are.

Here's an explanation of why killing new players, which may seem like it would drive them away, actually brought even more players to the server, saving it.
As Fit said, conflict is what keeps the server alive. If the Veterans hadn't started a war with the sudden influx of new players, almost all of those new players would've almost certainly become disinterested and stop playing. But the conflict gave them a reason to keep playing on the server. Now the new players felt like they had something to fight against and something to fight for.
So why didn't these new players just quit after the war was over and the conflict had ended? The answer is that, although that war had ended, the existence of conflict within the server hadn't. As Fit said in the video, he and Rusher essentially altered the culture of the server to that of a vast battleground of constant conflict. So although the initial conflict that was the Rusher War had ended, it created ripples throughout the server that gave rise to countless new, smaller conflicts. This meant that the players attracted by the initial conflict were now more likely to continue playing after the fact, being sustained by the new, remaining conflicts.
If you want another example of how conflict breeds popularity, just look at the Dream SMP. Many viewers attribute its massive success to the frequent wars and such, starting when Tommy joined and started causing mischief. If the Dream SMP was still as it was when it first started, being nothing more than a small group of people hanging out with each other on Minecraft, it wouldn't be as successful as it is now.

To meet you is almost complete Anarchy but it does have to be kept in some limits or the server would quickly become unplayable for example housemaster how to delete lag machines or the server will crash and that's glitches which would make the server unplayable for everybody you're illegal items which are not allowed on the server but these are only a few items to stop places from being Unbreakable unkillable
basically the problem here is that they had operator statics and could do what ever they wanted when ever they wanted and no one else could do anything about it, because of this they left

Popbob’s spawning at the chain wasn’t a coincidence, if I had to put my money somewhere. Just with a couple commands, iTristan would be able to set Popbob’s spawn point anywhere in the server, all the while communicating with his fellow members of Tyranny on a separate platform. This is why it’s significant: Popbob hasn’t been heard from in months and outta nowhere is *COINCIDENTALLY* at the exact spot he’s needed? That doesn’t add up in any scenario.
As for Region Files and World Downloads, it’s a little less straightforward yet pretty understandable. With a region file, you’ve essentially got a region of the server (a couple chunks or an entire biome, depending on the greedy bastard in question)…Meaning you can take sections of the map and explore them in your free time, outside of the server, to find a base! You’d have 2b2t’s world downloaded and the region files present so you-on your own version of the world-can instantly explore the region in question, with 0 interference from another player and all the time in the world to find nooks and crannies.
Now, Lemme preface this with something else: I’m explaining this as someone who doesn’t understand these concepts all too well myself. I’m coming at this as a guy who understands things visually, but because these are described as files, it could literally come down to Tyranny having a wall of text saying what blocks are present in the biome, what chests are present and what all’s inside of it! I’m going with the perspective of someone who’d enjoy exploring, rather than someone who wants to read a shit-ton of code.
Hacking is a cool skill, understanding code is invaluable, however I struggle with that to such an insane degree that it’s not how I picture things. Most likely, it’s the latter, yet I’m explaining this as I understand/perceive the threat.
Tl;Dr : you have Literal Regions of the 2b2t map at your fingertips. You can figure out what’s there and how to get there quickest
Can i suggest looking at mumbo jumbos 3 part tour on scicraft? It's pretty long(each ep. is around an hour) but its really interesting and i really want yout to see the technical side of minecraft. I belive that the thing that made people quit was that because the sever is supposed to be Anarchy, meaning there would be NO ADMIN, NO OPERATOR, NO OWNER intervention. All hacks, all exploits in the game, even scummy thing you do from lying, backstabbing, Intimidation and persuasion is allowed.
Tyranny having OP powers, means that all of the work people had to do to find bases, kill people, hacks and such advantages become useless when the enemy control the sever and is no longer a player vs player, but instead player vs OP.
Also the reason players, Veterans, killed new players, its because the queue time of the server goes to HOURS, and the more "unskilled" players or not serious players that join, the longer the queue it is, preventing the old strong players to join the sever faster.
Only the strong can survive in 2B2T.

Going for any anarchy server, why someone would trust another? From experience, players working together can create great things. Unfortunately, also from experience, if you're not careful, you can get betrayed. People will cover the others in the group who are weaker. For example, a former group and base I was in - I'm not the best at PvP or redstone, and I'm sure as hell not a expert duper. But I'm a good builder. In the group, there was also a good redstoneer, a good pvper, and a good duper. We all covered each other's weakness. Well, until the traitor betrayed us causing some shit to go down. Groups are formed to work together to both survive and thrive, covering each other's weaknesses

People were mad because in actual anarchy, everyone is on more or less the same level. Sure you can hack, glitch and fuck people up but EVERYONE CAN. What Tiranny did is the equivalent of Hausemaster deciding to grief people. There is literally no countermeasure to that at all; you can't do ANYTHING about it because op access basically makes you god
Hid your base millions of blocks underground, fortified it with obsidian, abused game mechanics, used hacks, used traps, tried to kill the griefer? Doesn't matter. And that took the fun out of it because the playing field was no longer even remotely even

Funny enough. You can basically know all the info of a slyblock player by typing their username into a website. You can see how much money is in their purse amd bank, what weapons they use armor they have. Their stats. Even thier inventory and e chest.
"32k items" are actually items with 32727 enchant levels... such as sharpness 32727, which basically kills anything in one hit. That's literally unattainable for anyone and means that the whole point of anarchy, that everyone has the potential to use equal hacks and exploits, was destroyed. "32k items" basically means that you can't run away because you die instantly, can't fight because you die instantly, you can't just die and forget about it because they can find your bed, and you cant do anything. They violated the "ceiling" of power in the server, the one thing that made everyone equal.

It made it real anarchy. Also everyone had 32ks (what fit likes to call "superweapons") before they got patched
the server follows the creed "conflict is the root of all being" there is no place on the server for those who feel victimized. only those that embrace conflict and the unfairness that comes with it end up continuing after their first few attempts during their youtubers raid. however those that can escape spawn, aquire "real armor" (Full netherite enchant is only armor) and KEEP LOGGING IN the 15th time they lose that armor will be accepted. because they get the idea of conflict on 2b2t.
No people didn’t even know hausemaster took back control. People were mad at the fact that tyranny was in full control without anybody knowing.

I am pretty sure bed chains only made it take 1/16 the time to travel but when you travel 100 mil or so blocks that is double the speed of the 1/8 of nether travel
Anarchy is about the freedom of players on a level playing field. That means all *players* are allowed to do whatever they want, you can do whatever and normally without inhibitions humanity's animalistic impulses shine through. You suddenly need to start outsmarting them, outbuilding them, out-exploiting them, to even survive and let alone thrive. The "ruler" should be completely hands-off other than managerial tasks like maintaining the server and interfering whenever some sort of exploit destroys the level playing field; like back-door access. Hausmaster was very much so not a hands-off admin, and he censored that. If he was completely hands-off other than the ABSOLUTE minimum amount of management required then it'd be a true anarchy server. But he isn't and he tries to hide it, so 2b2t has never been a true anarchy server, but It's the closest thing to it as far as I'm aware.
As a former 2b2t player; you just don’t trust anyone. I was a lone wolf and lived through some of these things and the first 2 incursions. I learned to not trust anyone

The problem is that, 2b2t is anarchy, but is it ok to break the server in ways that makes the server umplayable or that sucks out the fun of playing in the server, even in anarchy, people wouldn't want their fun to be ruined, and if godlike beings suddenly appeared out of nowhere just to fuck everyone up, no one would be happy

Tyranny however, had literal access to power that made them above everyone else. They become, well, tyrants: the opposite of anarchy.
That's unfair; that's against the whole purpose of the server. If you're going to kill someone, do it with your own blade. You can't use backdoor access.

It wasn't because they wanted the server to die by killing the newbies, it was a way to relieve stress and teach them not to trust people in any capacity.

"Why would you want barrier blocks" its more of a bragging thing. For example, on the anarchy server I go on, radium anarchy, I have some illegals like one layer of snow or farm blocks, player heads, stone with no texture or hacked arrows. You cant really use these practically except for the arrows, but you can be like: „Hey, I have these illegals, cool right?“ Some of these Illegals CAN be used though. Like I know a player on the server that has a flint and steel that when you walk in the fire, it bans you. Thats right. Bans you.

the whole reason for killing new players is to keep the strong ones on and leave the weak ones behind as it’s a fairly toxic server. the ones that keep going even after death are the ones who can survive said toxicity if I’m not mistaken.
Nah the real reason to kill them is either absolute boredom or a attempt of making them quit 2b so the queue times get lower.

if someone uses an exploit, so can you
if someone can find your base, you can find theirs
but when someone has console commands
they can find your base just by typing "/TP YoBGS" while you're looking at a blank wall trying to find theirs

2b2t never died, most of the playerbase just stopped playing for a couple of days cuz they didn't want to play on a server that has an backdoor. So they left and waited until housemaster fixed it. Fitmc exaggerates and makes up shit to get views and $$$$. take everything he says with a grain of salt.
