It seems like a fundamental truth in this sort of game that melee is harder to play than long range. Different games try to balance it in different ways, but at the end of the day there’s only so much they can do.
The problem with this game is that they refuse to give significant notice via warnings and windups for basic attacks. So while you can dodge special attacks, all the point blank attacks come out without warning. Just poor game design.
I mean you say that but if they do make the enemies designed for range first they can circumvent it. Especially if they design the melee abilities to be more mobile
Honestly, the first one was dynamic to the extreme, the combos had to be very well thought out, this one has the same ideas but it seems like the game has a handbrake on, I'll see more, but I wasn't as excited
Feels a lot like Hades, I agree. The cost of going full 3d seems to be making it feel like Diablo or something. It's missing that crazy speed. But I will be watching, I loved the first game, I'll give them some rope while they figure it out. Even an upgrade to the movement in a small way might do it.
I have to say, this looks way better than the trailer. I was so disappointed when they revealed this game. I am a huge fan of the original. But seeing y'all play it now, it actually looks pretty good. I will need to see more before i judge it though!
(Boss spawns) "..." Aww.... no witty banter. Madame Moulin "Given you're current level of expertise, I'm sure the result won't be too SHOCKING." Ayyyyyyyyyy there's my Wizard of Legend! I was happy about Hades 2 coming out, but how other people were OVER-THE-MOON about Hades 2, Wizard of Legend is that for me.
How disappointing that they changed the art aesthetic and game play to a weird Hades/cult of the lamb rip off. Won't be buying this one but I'll watch you play it :)
Man, I had so much fun watching y'all play the first one! Looking forward to watching this ❤

It makes sense to me. Higher damage with meele but you take on more risk.
That last ability that the boss had was rough. I can't wait to watch (and play) this game more.
the jingle is probably a reference to the Zelda's game. when you open a chest or get a new item a jingle play and show you holding the item

yeah, honestly looks like it feels a little too floaty and a the choreography on the enemies doesn't feel as chunky you know?

Truly, warrior blood runs in your veins.

Oh wow, it's been so long since the first WoL games with you guys! It feels good to watch Lee and James get back into the saddle again~
I haven't seen all that much of Ultra C playing WoL, but I liked what I did watch. I am looking forward to this.

Ooooh nice!
Even tho I never beated the first game, is hard...
Have you tried playing it in coop? It makes the game harder and easier at the same time, and is overall just great fun.
@@Orillion123456 Not really, I prolly should, maybe one day XD Thanks for the remote play be a thing too.
As always, thank you for the arrested development references :D
Would love to see you beat this demo.

I've played the first one of these! This looks different. I don't know if I like it
OK now I like it!
Darn; so we aren't going back to the past, just playing as a native this time...
Here before the spam comment :p
I honestly prefer the first games style to this, comes off more like Curse of the Deadgod
Was the naruto run an effect of a relic in the first game or is it just gone now
I like the old art style better.
Wait what
:D
Compared to the 1st one, this one feels slower and enemies do more damage
Wizard of legend 2 ;whiz harder
Is it a Hades 2 with more filters?
