I feel my heal was so overpower when I was Venthyr in 9.0...but man Kyrian rsham dps is so fun sometimes I forget I am the only one that can heal in M+...
Kyrian sham is so fun to play. Even in raids if placed in the right moment when the raid is stacked it does some good healing but the dps it does is just crazy in keys
Love this video! Just swapped to Kyrian from NF! NF was cool because of the legendary and the incredible "Ashen Rain" build in raid. Also loved that it was almost an extra *oh crap* button for big heals on the whole M+ party, but on keys with my regular group, there wasnt that much healing to do and my I ended up going for most damage.
Something that not a lot of people are aware of is that Hope Spring Eternal not only gives the healing of Phial, but it gives the status removal of Phial too! It's a little situational, but INCREDIBLY useful during Necrotic weeks. The tank would need to be the lowest HP target, but if a tank gets to 30, 40, 50 stacks of Necrotic they are obviously be the lowest HP target. Pop Phial and it removes Necrotic stacks from them! With the change to a 6 second duration coming, this might not be necessary but in the meantime it's pretty nice for groups when you know a tank will have a very difficult time clearing those stacks.
Ive been kyrian resto shaman for weeks i enjoy it more than i do Venth hpal i do more overall dps too because i mostly do pugs soo getting them to play around ashen doesnt alwayd happen.
Just out of curiosity have you considered Venthyr Resto Shaman? I play Venthyr Resto with the Venthyr Legendary. In M+ with double stack of champion's brand (crit) and then the Chain Harvest Conduit where it has higher chance to crit by 15% (give or take) all of a sudden chain harvest is on a 1 min CD which provides 5 flame shocks (which also brings lava surge procs) and 5 riptides (which also builds into Cloudburst). The reason im suggesting this is because its equally as strong in raids for HPS as you have on demand 100+K Cloudbursts which can be timed perfectly with ease compared to others and its less globals. It is just (to me atleast) the perfect all rounder.
@@Meatcrob1 oh i fully understand that, but it's not like Venthyr Rsham is far behind it in damage while its definitely ahead of it in Burst AoE heals and doesnt require micro management if the tank is kiting
Shaman in general is probably one of the best classes in terms of options to have. I do hope they update other legendaries to make more worth getting. especially when we will be able to farm them in the same week. Currently i play all three specs and its impossible to have all the viable legendaries at max ilvl.
For raids I always ask myself: "What is the maximum amount of damage I can put out without letting my raid die?" (same thing can be said for m+) And Vesper Totem/Raging Vesper Vortex fills that role. Even in a heroic setting, I've achieved over 100k Cloudburst before. I admit there is more healing requirements in mythic raid therefore Riptide leggo + necro has great synergy. And I honestly would agree with you but if I had a choice I would try out Kyrian resto shaman in mythic raid.
Been playing kyrian resto shaman for around 2 months and here are my thoughts: 1. Consistent dmg on pretty much every single pull in the dungeon with Mikanikos soulbind last trait. When pulling bigger Hpala takes over with his ashen hallow. 2. Crit getting more value due to Vesper crits (explosion triggered from legendary is uncapped). 3. Trinkets: Ive got 2x Changelings, one with Haste proc (Tyr weeks) and second one with Crit proc (forti weeks) and Soulletting Ruby. 4. Anima powers from torments: Pedestal (fire guy) and Champions brand (Varruth). I saw Lerne (top sham US) using sanguine ichor (fire guy) on every dung except NW MIST and HOA, it does around ~5-7% dmg overall and the same amount of healing - good positioning/stacked fight is required here imo. I just prefer more haste. 5. Healing in raids might be a little weird at beginning when u swap to kyrian due to its limited potential of healing aoe dmg (comparing to Necro feeding cloudburst with primorial wave resets), but Kleia's Crit bonus kind of makes up for it a little bit. It's just a matter of getting used to it. tl:dr Im having a blast with kyrian rshaman in m+ right now (been playing it in s4 bfa so im not dirty fotm reroller xD)
@@babylettuce I got crit/haste/mastery one day and was spamming crit food buff for it to change, did not change. So one day when second trinket dropped I decided to up it and care never more;d

Great content as always.... The urge to hold out till 9.1.5 is diminishing. Still hoping vent shammies will get a huge buff, and kryian nerfed into the ground XD
How bad was the renown catch up? I'm planning to swap to Kyrian myself, but I'm not sure if it's worth doing *now* or waiting for 9.1.5 when we can boost to 40 instantly.
Switched 2 weeks ago Took me about 3-4 days to get caught up. But I also did the raid and quite a bit of pvp to get a good amount of renown. The campaign gives 2 renown per chapter so that’s helps as well
I think it's time that Blizzard makes sure to make some healers meta for M+ and some different ones for raid. It really sux that it's all about Rshaman and Hpally, in both raid and M+ when we have 6 healer spec's to choose from, especially when it's my two least favurite :P I went for Rsham and I really tried to like it, I really did. But it's not my style and I feel so unsecure playing it. I feel like I do 200 times better on my Hpriest, Rdruid or MW.
your vids make me miss WoW. I will be back one day though (probably 10.0). I'm just enjoying FFXIV too much at the mo. Do you have any plans to try FFXIV? I would love to see some vids by you telling us how to kick ass with white mages and astrologians!
I know you're a healer main but you should know then that there's a finite amount of healing in raids, so making yourself only an "hps monster" doesn't really mean much if between all your healers the damage taken is covered. Doing 12k to look really good on the meters doesn't really mean much when it isn't needed. If you only need 8k why wouldn't you want the option to be able to do orders of magnitude more damage than the "monster hps" covenant. Bosses die faster if healers contribute meaningful damage, not by overhealing or sniping your fellow healers heals.
@@Darkrampager Wouldn't it make more sense to have monster hps healers (30k Raw hps Hpalas/MW, etc), drop a healer (3/4 heal a boss etc) and pickup a dps, than worry about the healer dps..?
@@farmerjoe258 it would if its possible but 4 healers doing 3k dps passively vs dropping 1 healer and losing the 12k from all 4 to basically 0 kinda makes it tough for 1 dps to make that up, which is why healer dps is so important.
