After walking up a steep hill to get to the observation area/subway train meant to some day connect to N. Korea/gift shop. There is a huge empty expanse (DMZ) between North and South Korea. If you make it across the expanse without being killed, you will arrive at what I call a little propaganda town. Building's, factories, apartments...none of it is regularly occupied or really functioning. The town is meant to demonstrate how industrious and advanced they are. Look up, and you will see what has to be the largest (N. Korean) flag on earth. You probably can see that thing from space! Trust me, every American soldier who steps foot on South Korean soil has a singular mission to defend that country with our lives if need be. That Private must have an undiagnosed mental illness in order to have gone into North Korea. He most likely will be treated as a spy. I doubt he makes it out of there alive. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇺🇲

His unit handled the matter, not MPs, so they obviously couldn’t board the plane with him, once he got thru security, he apparently told the airport employees he’d lost his passport, at which point he was escorted out, where he was able to join the tourist group going to the DMZ, and from there he easily crossed over? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Why do they say "being held"? Why do they say "in custody"? He willingly entered North Korea. He is where he wants to be. He defected to North Korea. He is a deserter. Why do they say "getting him out" or "retrieve these people"? That is a very strange statement because Pvt. King travelled to North Korea because he wanted to go there. This is a very weird video.

"To go and retrieve these people." He ran over the border in a misguided attempt to evade punishments in the US. Let him stay and enjoy the ones in North Korea. I'm sure NK jails are soo much nicer. Let him enjoy the consequences of his own actions.
It'd be one thing if he got kidnapped or somehow ended up by mistake. But he willing did that. This video implies it wasn't 100% his own stupidity that got him there. The amount of issues he's going to cause the other US personnel in Korea is crazy. Let him rot.
